I don't think a lot of people who watch this realize the nature of a comedy roast. At Youmacon they had a Roast honoring LK, which means his friends spent hours ripping him a new one! Roasts are brutally hilarious. The whole point is that the honoree doesn't take himself too seriously. It's all about the burns! That's why it's called a roast. This is a labor of friendship. (*friendship!*)

~A lesser tradition, is that the roastee gets blind stinking drunk ... and LK also did this very well!
