Dear Mark, FYI The Torch has good reason to stay with the 624MHz processor--anything more unnecessarily drains the battery and heats up the device. The Torch seems sluggish at the moment is because new OS is not completely optimized, not because the processor is slow. Wait for software updates then tell me the 624MHz processor isn't fast enough. Take the iPhone 4 for example. It may have a 1GHz processor, but speed tests have clocked it at 800MHz without it, battery life would be terrible.

@KingstonDevote exactly. Slower CPU, but twice to three times the battery life from Android or iPhone. I use an Android phone by the way and while I do love it for the games, the battery needs recharging daily and the stupid thing reboots randomly and disconnects from phone calls randomly. I may have a dud though. I'm thinking of this for my next phone.

wtf, it's like if you're in business you MUST be in your 40s and not ever want to have fun or push your phone to the limits.

I think scrolling from side to side was designed that way. If you scroll up and down through icons and web pages it moves 1 for 1 with your finger. I think it's there to keep from accidently changing from your favorites to another section and such.

I have owned BB 8900 and BB 9700, still have this last one. Do you want a fast phone?, with a real browser?, with no needed of battery-pulls?, and why not... a fun one?.... then... get an Android... seriously... try HTC Desire or similar, wont regret it

In addition to watching the video, I read the article in the Sunday, LA Times too. I feel sorry for the RIM stockholders. I think there are so many other phones for $200 that blow this phone out of the water. Whats the big deal with a touch screen and a keyboard? Didn't the Google G1 have that 2 years ago?
