  • I met mike, he is such a great guy! i talked to him for about an hour, he is a very inspiring person!

  • Comment removed

  • Hey what a nice guy that Mike is - can you imagine being a Corvette guy and getting to help build your own car - the last C4 - with all the plant guys signatures - that's just unthinkable - I'm in Perth, Australia, I have a black '87 Corvette convertible and I love it more than I love my wife.. she complains sometimes but I think she understands

  • 1 person must be a Mustang lover.

  • Cash for clunkers- C4-- How sad!!! -Dont watch if ur too sensitive... youtube.com/watch?v=qTYL-h5_hb4&NR=1

  • That's bullshit.... You can not get a car from the factory with 0 miles on it..... The factory will test it for a few miles when it comes off the line, and the dealer will also put at least a few miles during prep

  • @mrdouglas51510

They reset the miles after the factory

  • @badbrandott Again that is bullshit..... The dealer or factory can not roll back miles, it is a federal offense to do so.... I don't know if you're full of shit or your dad's friend is bullshitting you and you are dumb enough to believe it.... I bet your dad has a friend that has the Brooklyn Bridge for sale with zero miles on it, doesn't he???..... You CAN NOT get a car with zero miles from the factory, dealer or other wise

  • @mrdouglas51510

It wouldn't equal up to a mile so therefore it wouldn't have miles on it

  • Funny my dada friend just bought a red convertible c-4 and it has 0 miles on it and still has the window sticker on it.

  • @blackberry4511 ur an idiot

  • @neerredd It is actually possible, the guy that owned it before him specially ordered it to not be tested in the factory for collating, it is possible. clearly am not a idiot, good day sir. :)

  • c-4's are awesome my dads is a 86 so its 10 years older than this corvette but its not a stock c4 either

  • Is it crazy that I actually like these better than the C5 and C6? I would actually rather own one of these over a new one, second only to the early C3s.... as far as Vettes go anyway.

  • the fact that they tore all the tooling out right away made me cry a little bit.

  • C-4's rule!!

  • "Mike" is crazy, I'd rather have the first c5 than the last c4. What was he thinking?

  • i hated my 85-c4 it had a 4+3 transmission broke down all the time what a pos now i have a 06 z06

  • That would be so cool to see your car being built and meeting the people who built it for you!

  • Bit emotional watching this :). Makes me more proud of my 1992 C4!! Great video, thank you for sharing this akvette.

  • nothing I like more them seeing someone who makes $60.000 a year putting in a seatbelt. When they should be making $12.00 hour.fuck them

  • I wish it was a better color then white :\ Still I love the corvettes!

  • I wonder if he still owns the car.

  • @TexasMan77 yeah he planned on storing it

  • kinda sad, but c5 was a major improvement

  • At motorfordtoyota, when the C4 was made it was in check with the times. It was sexy, sleek, and the horsepower was right for the time when it was made. Now the vettes are dying. Not everyone can afford them, they aren't top of the list for looks anymore and I'm pretty sure your spoiled for choice. Back then it was a Porsche or a sexy vette. :)

  • @spoochmonkey Don't know what the heck your talking about. A Corvette owner here speaking, I think all Corvettes are sexy. You obviously aren't a Corvette enthusiast or owner if you think Corvettes are dying.....

  • I have owned 5 C4's and I love my 87 roadster. She currently has 34,000 miles on her and I have owned her for 12 years.I backed off at 160mph before I did my mods.

  • They have no governers. Stupid fast.

  • that lucky bastard... i was six when they stopped making these and i still want one. im going to itt tech just so i can buy a used C4. imo, chevy should have just shut down after the C4's production ended.

  • @spoochmonkey But if that happened we wouldnt have the c6 or the ZR1. I love ALL vettes, not just the c4!

  • This was just amasing to watch. I feel so excited to purchase my used c4 sometime this month, Ive been looking for a 6 speed and can't wait to find one that fits my personality. Great video!!!!! WOO HOO FOR CHEVY!!!!!

  • I toured the plant 2 months before that. It was really interesting. Nice people too.

  • my dad recently gave me his '84 because he bought a '94 for himself lol

and mine was white too, love that color! lol

  • What's even more amazing, in my opinion, is that human beings collectively assemble all of those thousands of parts and at the terminus of that assembly line comes a new car. These Corvettes are still prevalent on our roads and many are loved and well-cared for. A testament to an enduring icon: The Chevrolet Corvette.

  • i have a 1984 vette. its pretty sweet only one yellow 84 was ever made

  • i have a friend that has a yellow '84

  • sweet but i doubt its the original color. someone from gm scooped that up i bet

  • yeah prolly, but the bad thing about his car is that he nvr takes care of it...its a piece of junk

  • thats so stupid

  • dude i know im trying to make him sell it to me so i can restore it!

  • @Ollie..I agree with you..I can't find any info to suggest there was an '84 in factory yellow..that colour wasn't available till '86 and I believe there were 1464 in yellow that year all with graphite (grey) interior. @Bond1011..the paint RPO code would show "35" for yellow..41 for black..81 for red etc..hope that helps

  • Interesting stuff. Personally, I always liked the '63-'67 best.

  • C4, my favorite Corvette bodystyle. That long hood and those flip-up and rotate into position headlamps, not to even mention flipping that front clip at a gas station to check your oil. Ultra-cool. imho!

  • Hey i got a l98 in my FIREBIRD GTA, these werent bad motors , they lacked horsepower over the LT1 but my gta keeps right up with the lt1 camaros, more torque than the lt1

  • Brian, thats not very nice.. your obviously not a Corvette owner as I am. (black 87 convert) I'm guessing your too young to drive at the moment with a comment like that.. BamaE92 I agree with you totally.. for that Mike guy that watched his car being built, just priceless.. and he seems like such a nice guy too.

  • Whats wrong with 300HP? Granted the LS series are better, but the LT1 was a huge improvement over the L98.

  • I would have had everyone sign the out side of the car. Hood, fenders, doors ect. why hide all those names in fenders, transmissions & gas tanks.......?

  • ITS COOOOOOOOOOL i HAVE CORVETTE 1995 ZR1 IS AMONSTER

  • '91 steel blue 6 sp. convert..

good enough for me! (and they're a steal these days...shhhhh)

  • Love this video, the C4 Corvette was one of the first cars I fell in love with when I was very little in the late 80's (along with the Ferrari Testarossa and Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera). I hope he never sells (or sold) that car, that truly is a priceless car complimented with a priceless memory.

  • Meantime were shutting Detroit down. Pitifull!!! ED

  • It's pretty cool they let him be there for this.

  • My father is getting a '94 and he is giving me his '84! Not as good as the 1994 but still an awesome car!

  • first year for the c4 not bad at all

  • cause thats how we say "coupe" i thought every country says it that way, but i guess im worng

  • This is interesting! I have a 1984 model. I am getting ready to restore mine. Thanks for posting

  • c4 was great but it's sad you had to buy the zr1to get into the300 hp. then again, not many 80's cars hac 200 hp in the 80's

  • from 84-91 c4's Non ZR-1 came with the L98 engine rated at 245 Hp from 92-96 you could get the LT-1 or LT-4 the LT-1 was rated at 300Hp and the LT-4 was at 330Hp

  • the zr1 had 405hp

  • My favourite are corvettes are c4 from 84 to 89 would have to be best shape ever design I own black 88 c4 coupe great cruizer smooth ride

  • I have a Black '96........This is my 3rd one. Had an '85 and a '92 also. Great video.

  • man it takes 23-24 hours to make a g6

  • but it's a piece of shit unlike the c4

  • Hell Yea!!

  • i own one of the very first C4's! and i love it! this is a sad video!

  • this is very emotional! I love the c4s and this video made me cry......

  • Anybody know anything about the Last C5 in 2004? Any film on that.

  • My dad was touring the factory when the last C5's were rolling down the assembly line. He said it was very surreal. The assembly line looked like this- C5-C5-C5-C6-C6-C5-C6-C5

  • that was a really interesting video, im 16 and my parents have a 89 and i love to drive it when i get the chance to

  • wondering if he has it 12 years later

  • What a sad day, one of the fastest, best handling and utterly reliable cars ever made. I've had mine for 18 years, would not swap it for anything.

  • I've "only" had mine for ten years, but I agree!

  • @akvette

Mine is 22 years old and looks like almost brand new. I wonder how todays built cars will look in 20 years....

  • @worseeversignup but the c5 and c6 are miles ahead of the c4

  • @worseeversignup Now... i don't want to be flamed to a crisp here so i'm not going to point any falacies. I'm just going to say "No, i don't agree..."

  • Uhhh...wait. Was this the LAST c4 corvette?

    : )

The narrator says it's the last c4 about 90 times!

  • he means the 96 is the last c4 made not that 1 car was that LAST c4

  • Actually, that's exactly what he means. '96 was the last year for the C4 AND that actual car is the last C4 ever made.

  • The only factory in the world that ever made C4 Corvettes was THAT one in Bowling Green, KY. This video is of the last C4 ever being built. Period. There were no other factories.

  • Congradulations to Corvette Mike

  • Way cool!!!

    part of history

  • beautiful...

  • Interesting video, but it's annoying having to mute it whenever that fat retard Mike Yeager is speaking.

  • A tear came to my eye.........
