Lucky 7 is definitely my preferred way to defeat Emerald Weapon. I've done it "properly" enough times to earn the right to "cheat", as some pretentious dicks would call it.

I had everyone with Lucky 7s and they only did it for 5-6 rounds... I like Jigglet by the way.

My team was: Cloude,Red XIII,Vincent,but i changed it now: Cloude,Cid,Yuffie. I have a lots of teams in story mode :P this game rocks... I remember when i get it in 1998,when i bought PSX :)

this is how i did it. i used cloud, red 13, and cid. gave them only 2 HP+ materia (so they had 9999 hp) Emeralds Ultimate move [Aue Tarine Storm] does [(1111)x(# of Materia)].

You just keep healin with megalixers and usin Limits until it uses it. then whomever it hits should have 7777HP. (Takes between 5 and 15min)

i must agree to all of you that lucky 7s is the most effective mode that can possible be used while fighting the emereald weapon but dont you all think that it could be better if it were more weapon such as omega weapon and why the hell did the diamond weapon have to die i think if it would have lived they would have put it to 2 mil hp just my opinion we all people like to beat strong monster

To the people that say you can beat him with KotR, Final Attack, Mime and Phoenix, no you can't. Considering Emerald Weapon will most likely one shot or two shot your characters. Plus you'll run out of MP before he does that. You need to be pretty high level in order to beat him. (Or be decently low level but have Lucky 7s. ^_^)

but i have one question: why do they attack emerald weapon so often?

Lucy 7 does wear off. I tried the same thing with the ruby weapon.. no success.. I have a very rare copy of FF7 on my computer. I was dumb and sold my PS1 copy. I wish I still had it

jus get ur characters to 7777 hp and they will go into a kinda berserk mode where they tak of 7777...as long as u keep there health at 7777 after there berserk mode finished they'l continue to tak 7777 off....if u wanna no an easy wae to get 7777 hp jus ask...
