@bigwillietheb You are right. I was 11 when this song was new on the radio, so I caught the end of the 60s and all of the 70s. But the 80s was a great decade for music too, pretty much start to finish, full of memorable songs. But with the coming of MTV in 1981, the 80s was actually also the beginning of the end of good music.
