I vaguely remember someone saying on 3G that supercharger was the way to go because the upper end die so badly? Course it needs the lower for turbo so I wouldn't know.
IMO turbo is the way to go wit this platform if you want the most power. SC are nice but I just love turbochargers. My setup is limited by my Master Power turbo right now. My engine is built to handle twice the power I'm making now so I will be testing it with a new Precision turbo that I got.
hey chato have you ever heard of anyone doing a twin turbo setup on the 3g eclipse? ive seen a few people do it on the 4g eclipse but it looks possible for the 3g as well
Chato has an endless pocket for this stuff. Plus he's had stuff not work that destroyed his engine, like pistons that hit his heads. I'm doing an S/C build on a 3.6 for the same car for about 5k, should make 400whp.
No, I have a proflow tb which is a little bit bigger than the stock one. I'm about to change this tb with a diamante one. I haven't done the 3" dp yet and I need to repair the built race heads I have. I will post the results when I get everything done.
car sounds amazing.. not a huge fan of the body kit tho.. then again, your 3g would leave mine bus lengths behind by 60mph, so i wouldn't be seeing much of the kit lol..
Lol, you don't know what you are talking about. My set-up is half way from its full potential. Also, you will pay $7k for the SC kit and the tune probably, but you are forgetting about the rest of the important stuff you should upgrade (engine internals, drivetrain, etc). Do your homework and then come back to post a comment.
17k is a lot of money for just 325hp even if it is at full potential.. I.M.O. you could could have shopped around some more and got something better for that price and not necesseraly a with a turbo. i like superchargers better. but its a great build either way
Thanks! I'm using an Aeromotive A1000-6 Injected Bypass Regulator. My high set up is 16psi. I hope to be close to the 400whp mark when I get that 3" down pipe.
hey chato nice car!and good work!are u using ur stock fuel regulator? and how many psi are putting in the video?!only fix that down pipe problem and it whill be a great change in hp!
Thanks, my turbo specs are turbine a/r .68 comp. a/r .70 It is not a ball bearing turbo, but it doesn't take that long to spool. It hits full boost at around 3K RPM's. Master Power turbos are great. I'm loving mine.
hey nice numbers, your friend is right ur down pipe is ur problem! what are your turbo specs, a/r's compressor and turbine and is yours a ball bearing turbo? i have a master power turbo looks like yours but my specs are comressor a/r .70 and the exhaust side is a/r .84, yours sound sweet how it spools i wonder if mine is gona sound like that???? i hope so.
Very curious what body kit you have. I just bought myself a 3g spider

Around $17K labor included.

ouch. Sucks when you could have bought a stage 2-3 supercharger and headers for about 7k and get the same if not better results!
