@silentthunderstorm The purpose of these lateral duct fans is not to stop the main vertical fans from making the vehicle spin,as in in an helicopter.If they stop,nothing occurs.The two main engines are counter rotational so the vehicle doesn´t spin.In fact it is much superior to any helicopter in terms of safety.And there is more:These lateral fans could be used to direct the veihicle,by slightly reducing one of them in favor of the other.

@aahedo Learn to read dude. A helicopter can't exactly fit everywhere. This thing is designed more for city use, where it can more easily slip between the buildings. Although I do agree that this design is BS. Not a fan of vertical air ducts.

This thing needs to be able to insert and extract live troops and supplies into the 4th level of a 5 level car-park ... or to pull up to a third-story window or balcony, and perform a breech ... Recommend "Rapid-Rotor-Braking" ... for medivac and stealth insertions.

@illustriouschin Sounds simple enough. Only there's no such power known to man up until now. Except for the magnet, of course, but they're not trying to make a hovering train here, so electromagnetic rails are out of the question. So in this case they do need to use motors to keep it in the air. Helicopter was a great solution, but it's exposed fins were its biggest flaw. So far this one seems to be the most efficient, and, well, realistic.
