I never get the reader button... and generally I actually think safari 4 was faster, but I like how they brought the loading bar back.

One problem I do have is on the BBC website, the videos they have slow down safari 5 to a crawl, make it really awful to use

If you only find the "Reader" button and the "RSS"-button is gone. Just press and hol on the "Reader" button and a drop-menu will show with two alternatives "Show with Reader" or "View RSS"

I'm glad the loading bar is back. i.e. the colour loading bar shows over the url bar so you know how long your page is going to take to load.

I think I'm going to stick with Chrome. I always swore with Firefox, but Chrome really out did themselves. And for Safari, still not good enough in my opinion.

chrome aren't "stealing" from anyone.. it's just one of the best browsers up there along with firefox. i'm a safari 5 user now, but i just had to make that point lol.

the extensions tab only appears after clicking "advanced" in safari preferences, then clicking the "show develop menu in menu bar" check box. after that you have to click "develop" in the menu bar and check "enable extensions." then go back to safari preferences and the extensions tab will be there

I've been having problems with Safari, actually. First off, it's noticeably slower, overall. Next, web pages with mages don't quite load right and are really slow to load. I have the new i7 MacBook Pro, is this happening to anyone else? I tried switching the the NVidia card to see if it was a GPU issue but I got the same results.

Reader is a really nice idea. Thanks for brining it to my attention. I have noticed that Safari 5 is rather crashey, although it can be put up with with the epic speed that it gives!

@DRBUK Websites might have to use HTML5's Article tags to make reader to work. Reader works without that tag also but I have no idea how Reader chooses if its an article or not

I switched from Chrome to Safari 5 now :D Safari is better on web standards and do not have the bugs that Google Chrome got in CSS

The Reader function in Safari is sooo nice!!! I love it!! No ads, it's smooth and looks great!..

Print in Reader is GREAT if you want to save a page in PDF without any ads. I will save A LOT tutorials in PDF now.
