Margaret Sanger saw that poor/working class families (including poor black families) had a much harder time trying to just keep their families fed, let alone actually going out and contributing something to society because they had too many kids. She also observed that wealthy white families did not have this problem because the women had knowledge of effective birth control. She wanted to share this knowledge with the poor/working class so they had the same opportunities as the wealthy women.
I don't understand why not having kids until you are ready for them is a bad thing. Is abortion a racial issue? There are several issues, such as great numbers of black men being sent to prison, chronic unemployment, lack of education, drug and crime. What about higher health risks? Of all the issues you could choose to bring attention to I do not think this is one of them. In fact, this is probably a symptom, a sign of the negative effects all these issues are having on this population.

Margaret Sanger saw that poor/working class families (including poor black families) had a much harder time trying to just keep their families fed, let alone actually going out and contributing something to society because they had too many kids. She also observed that wealthy white families did not have this problem because the women had knowledge of effective birth control. She wanted to share this knowledge with the poor/working class so they had the same opportunities as the wealthy women.

I don't understand why not having kids until you are ready for them is a bad thing. Is abortion a racial issue? There are several issues, such as great numbers of black men being sent to prison, chronic unemployment, lack of education, drug and crime. What about higher health risks? Of all the issues you could choose to bring attention to I do not think this is one of them. In fact, this is probably a symptom, a sign of the negative effects all these issues are having on this population.

It is far more important to address the crime, lack of education, unemployment and so forth and to have people establish a firm foundation in their own life before they bring a child into it. Abortion is a symptom of people who are not ready to have children. By helping people establish their own lives you not only reduce abortion but have children that will experience a full life.

I wasn't ready for my conversion so I went it alone without God and gave up driving( but still drinking) not realizing what was missing from my life which was the truth.
