This is a fledgling bird. They are young birds that are learning to fly that are being tended to by their parents. It is imperative that you do NOT feed it. Fledglings to not have a "full" censor - they will eat until their stomach's explode. This, along with improper feeding (such as feeding them bread) can cause severe digestive problems.
If you find a fledgling bird, watch it at a distance for an hour - if the parents have not returned to feed it, take it to your nearest wildlife shelter

we are killing these things in greece while hunting...they make good food!!!!and dont call me killer there is no difference than you eating any kind of meat!
wow I've never seen a wild baby robin be so unafraid like that before! It looks like he was a hungry little guy and begging for food :) I used to raise baby cockatiels and they would beg like that too (only much louder lol).
That's actually a myth - birds will take their young back if it has been touched by another person. Mammals are the ones who abandon their young if they smell different, but birds have very poor sense of smell.
Its at the stage where its not supposed to be in the nest. The best thing is to leave fledglings alone if they can walk. Taking it would have been irresponsible. kudos for leaving it, and sharing your experience.
well if thats a mean comment, i'd say well clearly you dont have a good enough sense of humour to see that its funny because its cute. if thats a nice comment, then i'd say yes i agree. either way its a pointless comment. thanks for watching!

Yes, this was a baby bird. What happened to him?
javakogan 2 years ago
The yellow markings at the corners of his beak suggest that he's still a baby. His puffiness means that he's very hungry.

That is such a cute little bird! it's a good thing you didn't touch it. If you did, the parents would have nothing to do with it anymore.
