this is an entertaining & informative toon, I got the whole set of Disney from the silver box DVDs but this, the other Goofy & Donald on fire were left out! Shameful!
All those years I had to sit through 1950's "Motormania" in traffic school.!!This one is so far superior and benefits from being 15 years newer and far more appropriate for an instructional environment!
This film is still valid 45 years after it's release.
I get the feeling there are too many Driverius Timidici on the Interstate Highways now days. If you're driving so slowly that you make a semi-tractor trailer have to pass you, you need to get the fuck off the Interstate...
@jw870206 I wholeheartedly agree. Definitely too many driverious timidicus on the interstate. I've also seen quite a few motoramus fidgetus and neglectorus maximus out there too.
I have a friend who was born in the Phillipines, but came here as a kid. He is often too scared to drive down an on-ramp at more than 30 mph, even though he's trying to merge into 70 mph (or better) suburban Philadelphia traffic. He then putts along at 50-55 mph.
I have actually been tailgated at 80 mph in a 65 mph zone on the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
BTW, "left lane is for haulin', not crawlin'" - or "left lane is for cruisin', not snoozin'!"
I had a really hard time finding this one because there's so many other shorts about Goofy driving. There's Freewayphobia, and Motor Mania, and Vehicles for Victory, and they all sort of run together in my memories...
creating a sort of... shall we say... "boxcar effect."
Aw yes! I've never seen these! Thanks a million for posting them. When I finish watching them, I'll have seen every classic Goofy short! Thanks again.
You're welcome :) Years ago before DVD I went from video store to video store, checking out old disney vhs tapes trying to find this. I never found it. So I'm glad I found a torrent of it. I missed seeing this for years and years... I originally saw it as part of a 1 hour special called "Man On Wheels", which has Donald Duck and the Wheel preceeding it.
OMG! I remember this! I seen this on the Disney Channel around long time ago. I haven't seen this one since then! Awesome upload as well as Freeway Troubles! I've searching for those 2.
No worries. I put it on Youtube since nobody else has. It's what you call out of print, not released on DVD. In fact this is a VHS rip. If you search for Goofy Torrents you should find it.
Yeah it was on Demonoid, it was a fan made compilation of goofy cartoons about 2-3 gig in size, had many, but I don't think all... Goofy shorts made. Although I just looked on Demonoid a minute ago and couldn't find it.
I've been looking for this for years! My mother learned how merge while watching this and I wanted to watch it too! Thanks for uploading!

If I'm not mistaken, this was the last goofy cartoon where Pinto Colving provieds the voice for the Goof.

Why don't they show films like this today? Those that don't match the speed of the traffic on the motorway are a real pain.
Great video

You hear that? You think you're a saint because you drive the speed limit?
Driving slowly on the expressway puts everyone in danger. Don't do it.

Sadly, I drive like Timidicus (in that high speeds make me nervous). That's why I don't drive on the freeway.
