I've seen this: the program was played in US as "Surviving the Tsunami" as produced by NHK and translated. The woman @ 4:20 tells her story. She went to the school to pick up her daughter. They ended up taking refuge on an upper floor when the tsunami went through. @ 6:33 it says this policeman was dealing with a traffic accident on the highway from the quake @ 7:20 he says something like "when I saw that wave with houses floating in it...I thought "this is the end." He thought he would die.

Unfortunately the media helicopters are not equipped with rescue ropes. And even if they have some long enough ropes untrained people cannot handle the rescue act.

This guy tell his survival story. He was in front of the house after earthquake, there is black off, and familiy was unawre of tsunami warning. But then, his dad saw black wave among houses and shouted to go up to 2nd floor! and he did, the next moment, tsunami got into the house, wave swallowed him, but he cling to the house roof. He survived, but his dad, mom, sister passed away. this is what young guy said in this.
