  • "This speech basically is an F you to Daniel Ellsburg. The American public has the right to know about the decisions which affect them directly. Why should people like Nixon who promise to be honest with us go against their word? After Watergate, the trust the American people had in government tremendously diminished. Nixon you accomplished great things as a politician. But your enduring legacy will be that you let us down. And generations of Americans yet to be born will know that very well."

  • Nixon should have found the Wikileaks author and punch him in throat

  • That's a weird facial expression at 1:03, kind of like he wants to smile but can't quite bring himself to.

  • This guy represented all the american security paranoia and cowardice, a shame, because he wasn't an idiot overall

  • @ElgringoPedro ha ha ha, it's like an "idiot or evil" question, eh?

  • @ElgringoPedro He was wrought with personal demons including paranoia, as you mentioned, but I do believe that history will judge him as one of the finest presidents we have ever had. We must especially consider the turbulent times in which he served our nation. I salute him. Nixon NOW more than ever!

  • For sure he was dishonest but was he more of a crook than all the other presidents, or was he the only one that got caught?

  • I think he was misunderstood.Im 31 but i love History.I do belive he was a great president and did what he thought, was right for our country at the time.

  • burn in hell coward

  • He was one of the greatest that ever was, it is true he screwed up, but so do you and so do I. I belive that the Watergate was looked upon to much and his positive acheiments not.

  • NIXON _ yes!

    nigr0bama _ no!

  • FUCK THE FIRST AMENDMENT and freedom of the press, fuck yeah.

    Vote Nixon.

  • one of our greatest

  • If you actually look at Nixon's domestic policies, today's Republicans would have called him an outright socialist - from 1969 to now, Nixon had one of the most leftest economic policies ever (price controls, etc.). Nixon was not a conservative. He was more of a moderate Republican In Name Only.

  • @slproductions His predecessors left the country in the ditch, I dont think he was prepared to be the next Hoover

  • nixon was a good president. he got a bum rap because of his idiotic mistake, but overall history will look fondly at him

  • "History will treat me fairly.... Historians probably won't."

  • Way to browbeat the Vets, Dick; too bad you never risked your life for the USA like that "pansy, socialist, poet George McGovern" lol. But, I agree that the leaks needed to stop, however Lt. Ellsberg had every duty as a citizen, and officer in the U.S. Marines, to expose the lies of the Gov't to the people.

  • He was a WW2 Vet you ass!

  • No shit he was 'devil', EVERYBODY from that generation was!! He never saw combat either, he was a logistics and administrative officer in the Navy. So...what's your point..??

  • i have a tie like his

  • "I liked President Nixon. He did more good than harm..."

He absolutely did. The watergate thing was stupid.

  • There is an old Vulcan proverb... "only Nixon could go to China."

    - Spock

  • lol

  • He was a true political figure..I was not even born yet and this man went through hell for watergate..While other president lied to congress and to 300 million american and left the whitehouse with grace and dignity..PLEASE AMERICA WAKE UP

  • An un-prosecuted conspirator.

  • To an ass who wasn't even yet born!

  • That would make an awesome defense. I will have to remember that.

  • damn right, same way I feel

  • Shame on you, Freedom of the Press!

  • oh boo hoo, the press would try ruining him, so piss off. They actually made got him to leave his position.

  • Yeah, I remember how the press made him record all those incriminating tapes using his own voice. The press were cunning devils.

  • @IncredibleGoliath yes freedom of the press!... Unless it hurts our government and many others :/ but you dont care, as long as you hear about shit you'll never do anything about :3
