question, i have a desktop pc and a laptop, i have wlmm in both but the pc shows a definition selection before unploading,says: choose a definition: 240,320,480,720 and 1080 and uploaded a 1080 and here at you tube i was able to choose all the definitions, but with the laptop doesnt show that and uploaded a 1080 video and didnt uploaded at 1080 video and the highest definition was 420p can you tell me why please?

Here is another way if you can't upload it on youtube!

First,Go to file,then save movie,and click 1080p High Definition

Secondly,Save it to a WMV file

Next,Wait until the movie has saved

After that,Go on youtube and click upload.

Finally,Click upload vid and Wait until it has uploaded

i figured out a diffrent way! its easier

First:Go to youtube and click upload at the top

Second:Click Upload video

Third: look for your video

Fourth:click on it and press open

Fifth: just wait for it to upload

See? Easy!

@Dman7550 What you do, is you save the video to your computer so it's a file. Then when you go to upload the video you go to library, go to videos, and there it is. I totally figured this out on my own. And now I have uploaded two videos! Hope this helps.

I downloaded this a while back and it worked great for about a month, now when I try and transfer a 720p video to convert it to 1080p, I just get a grey box with a yellow triangle that has an exclamation mark in it. It wont let the HD videos play. Non HD videos dont give me any problem, do you have any idea of what the issue could be?

If you are using the older version of windows live (not 2011) then to change the aspect ratio, click the 'view' tab on your program and aspect ratio is in that catagory

i have windows vista and i just downloaded the 2011 live essentials. And when i try to import a video from my avchd camera to the timeline, it works, but you can only see about the top inch of the video and the rest is like what happens when you scroll down on a website that hasnt loaded yet (a stretched image of the top part). So i can only see the top of the video. What do i do??

I'm trying to upload a video that's about 5 minutes long with Windows Live Movie Maker Beta. I've tried uploading every size and I get:

(Movie name) wasn't published successfully

The following problem occurred in your movie: (0x80070002)

The video is well under a gb, I don't know what the deal is. If I save the movie it saves as WMV and I understand that's not uploadable to Youtube, but you said here that's what you uploaded. I can't find a solution to this problem anywhere.

For youtube, I think it says to separate tags with spaces not commas, if it's a phrase, put quotations marks around it, like this:

fish dog cat "big tiger" owl gorilla

As for putting high def movies on youtube, I still have not seen a quality difference. Everything uploaded to youtube gets processed by youtube's. For a 10 minute HD video, it will take 2-4 hours to upload, for a 720x480 widescreen wmv it only takes about 20 minutes for the same video. But on youtube they look the same.
