McFly version is ok.. but really cheezed up. jellyfish wrote this as kindof a joke, tongue in cheek....McFly seem to want to turn it into something serious...which kinda deflates it all.

Oh Ok. So Tom, with the speech impediment which you can clearly hear when he sings, messes up the song. British singers sound fine when they sing. Chinese people even sound fine when they sing in English. He didn't. The lead singer was good. I just didn't care for the other guy just ruined the song.

I think the McFly version is alright. Worse production and a little overdone. IMO, doing a cover should be about having something new to offer, some different take and idea about a song. This is just a semi-good attempt at an exact copy.

this is good but i like the mcfly version better. i thought it was their orignal but i checked this one out. i think danny's voice is better for the song, but thats just my opinion.

Covering songs is a form of appreciation. It's not to try and outdo the original artist. It isn't a competition over who's is better, and I'm sure that was not McFly's idea. They were showing appreciation for Jellyfish and without Jellyfish, this great song wouldn't exist.

(This is coming from a McFly fan who was curious about how to original sounded, by the way.)

McFly's version wasn't so bad, I think they just changed the key at some parts which kinda sounds weird. But it doesn't really deteriorate till Tom's part (he's accent doesn't doesn't quite fit.)

McFly is good at covers just not that great at covering old songs.
