Thank you Sally! I'm in Louisville, Ky and I'm thinking about relocating there... a bit worried about the huge bugs, but, I guess people get use to them? Whats the best place to live there? I love the ocean.
I like what you said, i'm costa rican american, and i think you did a good job, some other people wrote mean things, but they are jealous. I'm glad your giving your American perspective, just don't be one of those, "bow down before me cuz I'm American."
Sally, I am moving to Costa Rica and will be teaching at the Country Day School in Escazu. I would really really really like to ask you some questions regarding living in Escazu, especially about flats for rent or sale. My email is: brendanriley76@gmail.com Could you please get in touch with me!
@scottisfree wow big numbers I doubt is true but anyways,so I have to help invest 50 million in order to be someone in my own country?tourism generates an income to CR not expats. Expats becomes a social cost to CR in a long term since most of them lives from their socia security check and sucks on la CAJA for med treatment. You know that it aint no secret
who in hell are making gringos feel proud and special to come to CR and retire like if this is part of their backyard?what makes you think that ticos still like gringos like they did years ago?only ass kissers, prostitutes, nicas and women with a bunch of kids but the new generation is totally the oposite
Oh! You're the "new generation" are you? Bravely hiding behind your anonymous "Lambeestaca" username... Like myself and many others Sally and her family came here for a new life experience and fell in love with the country and the people - obviously she didn't meet you. I have personally helped invest over $50 million of client's monies in Costa Rica which has generated a LOT of jobs - What have you done? Scott Oliver
@Lambeestaca Gringos are gringos !!,Costa rica is a place that if you have the money you can move there,Is for people who can afford it not for rhe idiots who just are looking for a nica prostitutes, becouse you can afford it in your own country Iam Costa Rican, and people like you is a problem for a country like that,if you have problems with gringos dude you r so lost costa rica is full of it ..Get it!!
Sorry but somebody has to say this. You guys think that living in costa rica is like moving to Africa or something. Americans have to learn that even in France, not everybody has to speak english and not every corner has to have a 7-11. You people think about moving, living for a couple of years and not even learning the language? Common!!! and the way she goes about a FOREING LANGUAGE, its freaking spanish, if you speak english you can learn spanish in 2 months if you really want to!!
I believe that as long as Escazú can be self sufficient for a "gringo" there's no problem. Escazú has in fact an American appeal. But I just can't imagine a "gringo" driving through poor sectors of San Jose and dealing with poor people and whenever that happens Costa Rican people feelings get hurt when "gringos" make fun out of our poverty. And that's a shame when it happens. How can we avoid that? I think we can avoid that giving Americans a realistic view of our country before they come.
@r6ob7 no hay nada que decir pues nuestros antepasados también fueron emigrantes y al cabo de 2 generaciones ya uno ni se acuerda de donde proviene la familia lo único que sabe es que es tico...
