What a sad story i cant believe a mother would just dump her own kids to fend for themselfs. the real life story of this was much worse and sad. the four abandoned children of sugamo should find you lots of info. even though not 100% to the real story the movie is still great. its one of the sadder movies i've seen so be prepared for a knot in your heart.

@EternalPGirl HI i am 13 years old and part japanese and this movie mad me cry alot and my mum and dad said that u shouldn't worry but what made me cry more is that the movie tells u at the start it has been fictionalized because akira in the real story killed yuki by accident and those friends of his were there it makes me cry each time i sea plane fly by i stop to think how love and pain are two things that make us and he regreted killing her

This movie left me broken.... I liked it soo much, but, it made me realize that there are actually people who do this to their children. Their acting was so realistic and so real, it made me feel like I was right there with them. I would like to know how they survived after the movie ended:P

C'est vrai que se film est superbe, les acteur st incroyable ^même avc leur jeune age !Shigeru est trop mignon et l'on voit combien Akira prend de la maturité tout au long du film ! Je ne m'en lasse pas et le recomande !

Je trouve odieux que les japonais soient assez froids a des situations pareilles. Esperons que la mentalite du pays change.
