i thought wembley was unreal but this is fucking amazing !! we 250/000 inside and outside wembley he had 1.3 mill in houston fucking amazing !! u know he never makes any money from his tours because he spends the lot on the shows !! fucking genius !!
I had lived in Houston about 4 years when this happened.... Over 1 million live viewers jammed into every park and vacant lot west of downtown. The freeways just went into gridlock and nobody went nowhere. Everyone had radios (either boom boxes or car radios) all set to the station that was broadcasting the concert. The result was watching the skyline come to life and the music was coming from EVERYWHERE. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime event. I still have the VHS tape made by MTV
The best show of all time. Thank you Jean Michel for bringing me the best concert of my life. Houston was the perfect, beautiful skyline to match your amazing talent. Major highways closed, people draped over the road sign down onto the crowd.
You'll never find a more beautiful city for such a display as my town baby! I will remember this night for the rest of my life.

JMJ was too far ahead of his time to be really appreciated for the genius he is. His stageshows & orchestration are out there well in advance of everyone - Genius!!
The most amazing concert he ever made. 1 300 000 spectators, this is the estimation of the incredible amount of people that have seen this. Literally mind-blowing.
It was a warm night and Houston, ALL of Houston it seemed, was as close to downtown as they could be to view this otherworldly performance. I sat in the middle of a closed I-45 overpass with my wife and could find no wors to express my amazement!
Amazing! Jean-Michel Jarre is an incrediable organizer. He can stage any show in the world. He is like a film director, bringing his music to us, make us feel real atmosphere of Appolo 11 landing to the moon.
AMAZING !!! Mr. Jarre fantastic musician, incrediable organizer. He can stage like a film director such show, bringing to us his music and making spectators feel the atmosphere of landing Appolo 11 to the moon.
His music just send shivers down my spine :), absolutely amazing, every one of his compositions just make me incredibly happy :), And well done to that Choir!, must have been a MASSIVE deal for them to sing alongside JMJ :), he is GOD
Jarre looks quite.. excited, while playing his laser harp :). Around 5:10 you can see expressions on his face. Or maybe the laser streams were so hot? ;)
This performance from Jean-michel Jarre was magnificent, anyone turning downtown Houston into his stage...Brilliant, I like to see anyone top this performance!!
Yes, La Defense - 14 July 1990, was the best show. It was on a very warm, calm evening and it had a good atmosphere. Docklands was cold, wet, windy, and lacked any atmosphere. I saw both - all three of them :).
This clip is just amazing-been a JMJ fan for years, and I remember watching this on TV,and I remeber that Ron McNair was supposed to play his sax solo from the shuttle.Just totally awesome.
I got dragged to this as a 14 year old and I was blown away!! This was right after the first shuttle explosion and one of the astronauts was supposed to play a link up sax solo from the shuttle...they did a tribute to them as well. It was a very profound and unforgettable experience that i am grateful to have seen.
Cuanto mejor
great piece of history and all LIVE!! (at that time) .. not like todays heroes who have to do "playback" to hide the reality of their studio corrected lack of talent.
