Departed sucks. I give the infernal affairs 9/10. But Departed, HA... 1/10 or less. Piece of crap.

I've never even heard of Infernal Affairs until I saw the departed.But when I saw the departed and heard it won best picture I was really excited to watch it on HBO. Then I was disappointed. Why because the dialouge sucked they said the F word every 5 seconds and I felt no connections with the characters the only character I liked was Jack nicholson because he was bad ass.

Then I saw infernal affairs and I'm like wow this is 10 times better. I actually felt sad when tony leung died.

yeah, kontroll is an awesome movie.

and you're right, the subtitles are completely unrelated to what the guy is actually saying.

that was kind of the point though, to illustrate how much can get lost in translation when movies move from one culture to another.

maybe i should've included another scene, where the real hungarian translation is given.
