  • Wtf

  • I love how people still get pissy over this trailer. It was an April Fool's joke from years ago but its impact has never softened :D

  • You guyz are slow. This is real. Not a real game, it's a hacked version!

All they did was edit the characters and then use a simple slot modifier code to give them special spells like rapture and full cure.

  • @Mana949 IF this would be a mod or a hacked version i would have found it by now i spend years searching this mod it is NOWHERE, if you know where this mod might be found i would like to know it though :p

  • The GIA was one of my favorite sites back in the day!

  • FAKE !!!

  • Yeah tonberrys in snowy places... X_X ...Well... you can do this with a gameshark or something of the like... however Fujin and Raijin have some glitches... anyways... Seifer and his crew are very cool... º,..,º ...thanx for the upload... n_n

  • The stupidity of these comments are astounding. The (now defunct) GIA created this as an April Fool's Joke. There never was any plans of creating a side-game of sequel for Final Fantasy VIII. If you really want to know confirmation I suggest hunting down Andrew Vestal where ever he may be. The GIA was led by Vestal after the UnOfficial SquareSoft HomePage was resurrected as RPGamer after he handed the content over to Mikel Tidwell.

  • shame they never made a sequel really, I would've liked to play as Seifer more & find out how he really felt, I mean I know he just wants meaning to his life, to do the whole hero thing, and that he actually respected Squall. Squall's & Seifer's friendship was awesome in FF8 (yes they were friends, just complicated)

  • looll that is so cool.

i don't think it was real ... if it was real, why would they have the exact same music and everything... you think they would have changed a few more things besides the main characters haha. (:

  • Way to argue pointlessly over a video game. It looks heaps cool & all, enjoy it instead of focusing on always being right. Thanks for the upload.

  • This game was in the making but never ended up getting released. They may go back and do it but i highly doubt that

  • Is this a real final fantasy. Or just a part of final fantasy 8

  • at first i thought this was gamesharked...but fujin and raijin have victory poses...the hell is up with that?!?!?! lmao...

  • now that i think about it...they don't actually have victory poses...could be movements they made during the game and edited into the "battle" somehow...hrmmmm...whoever made this is a clever bastard though lol

  • WTF japanesse??? o_O

  • O.o! this tru the video??

    O.o!

i dont know this part of the game :S

    how?? u have this part?

  • It was a cancelled sequel to FFVIII

  • its was an April Fools joke, so the game is not even real

  • no, its a cancelled sequel

  • true, why???

  • I know this is fake, but why the hell do Raijin and Fujin have victory poses?

  • Perhaps unsued files... YOu do fight them... Perhaps they show victory poses before you get "game over".

  • They don't. That much I know for sure.

  • this isnt fake...it was once in develpment

so STFU!!! i should kno, my uncle works at square

  • I remember it being an April Fools joke, not a real game. Either way, it's a dead game so it's not like it matters in the grand scheme of things anyways.

If you have more info post a link.

  • whats the name of this song on the video this has been bothering me for a while

  • you know...I don't remember either. I think it may have been called "Only a plank between one and perdition" but I could be totally wrong

  • Yes, it is "Only a Prank between one and perdition". This music noticibly plays when Seifer is threatening Vinzer Delling.

  • @Sparfregundo Gotta love the music. Just pulls ya into the story :D

  • @Littlekat its like the music when shits going down. galbadia invading fh, i loved that bit.

  • @Littlekat that is correct =]

  • I wish square would finally realize that Final Fantasy VIII is a masterpiece and the greatest final fantasy ever created! they need to stop wasting time and money with so many VII sequels!

Dirge or Cerberus is an aweful game!

    gives FFVII a bad name!

    advent children was incredible however

they need to make a movie for VIII next!

    or remake it!!!

  • Advent children diddn't really do much for the story, though...

ff8 has soooo many things, like character development, that it could mess around with.

  • to PwnANinja, ff8 has character development??

they only focused on squall and rinoa, the other 4 have the personalities of buckets!

they were so lazy and said ok selphie is energetic, childish and says woohoo alot, irvin[ivrin?]

is a sniper that likes girls and plays cool, zell... he's zell=\. and quistis...they must've forgotten about her completely.

  • good huh i saw this a longer ago its pretty sweet

  • Nice sprite modding lol

  • yeah yeah yeah!! it would be very popular if there was a FFVIII-2 lol

  • yeah! Only for the sequel it should focus on seifer! haha, this clip pretty much says it all. : ]

  • really? hahaha, that's really impressive anyways!

  • It would of been so cool if there was a second FFVIII coming out! I wish there was...

  • wow where is this from now?

  • It was supposed to be the continuation to Square Soft's Final Fantasy VIII But it ended up being an april fools joke, to trick everyone into beleiving it was true this movie was created from avialable backgrounds and characters from the game, don't know HOW this was put together, but a fan made it.

  • thanks for posting that littlekat......I was about to do "research"...lol!!
