Well again I am not excusing anything that can be seen as lack of effort BUT I am trying to point out what your taking into account isn't what should be criticized. Maybe for the casual viewer his personality can be annoying but the story has many more places to be critcized like the factions, villian, supporting cast. The only thing I have liked with this series is that most of the characters realize they are hypocritical but have chosen they're paths and instead push through.

I saw this kid's mom died by getting her head chopped off from a spinning wheel and after the episode, we get so see the kid cried while holding his mom's head... dripping in blood.

@whiskers933 - The first 3 (spoilers, dont look if you havent seen it) episodes, we can see that he got TOLD OFF by one of the zeon superiors (like Angelo kicking his foot onto his chest xD). However, we can see where Banahger is coming from when he is confronted with greater issues (when Full Frontal discusses him about it). Though he did stooped a little too whiney in episode 4, which was disappointing... but only 2 more episodes left, so hopefully we will see him less whiney.
@maverickhunterdelta Its the same old though. Not that I don't enjoy it. Its really entertaining and fun to watch the new little differences in conflict. Though when it comes to original timeline its all the same setup(the only difference with Unicorn is that since it is in the same timeline they're accelerating the steps). Even Seed was just like a reboot. If not that type of protagonist set up it goes towards the terrorist type like Wing and 00 or something inbetween like 0080 etc...

If you watched all or most Gundam series you can see the patterns. Also didn't say he was a terrorist. If you reread you can see I said that if the protagonist isn't introduced like how the original did it, they tend to be already radicals or used to war. Also yes I am very familiar with this this timeline. Also its not nonending all out war or he wouldn't have been as sheltered.

Oh I already AM aware that "its the same old" trend. What I said was that for episode 4, why did they quickly changed Banagher's personality to a whiney little naive kid??? In the previous episodes, we get to see that he is learn bit by bit from what Angelo or even Mr. Daguza said to him. In episode 4, they pretty much reduced his character to naivete.

@xXOutlawXStarXx That still doesnt changed the fact the developers dropped Shinn's character at the end of Destiny and replacing him to Kira, because the fanbase don't like him. And they did a half-assed work (or worse) when Shinn could have been developed into a fine young character and carried the series over his strong shoulders.

Its actually more realistic then turning into a hero for him to be inconsistent showing the pressure is more then rediculous.

The reason why Banagher's character works during the first 3 episodes, was that unlike AMURO, Kamille, and JUDUA from the recent gundam UC lore, he was going to stop the war from here and now in this series. The UC is already realistic in its war themes. This is talking about proper characterization. He has forgotten what Mr. Daguza taught him previously. He was called a hypocrite again and again.

Banagher doesn't have to act all moping around and cry and hammering his voice towards Suberoa Zinnerman in his ship. That is not realistic, that is rushing and being lazy with his character. Episode 4 is still a disappointment. And casual fan would actually see the flaws with it.

Having a more repressed pass and unstable personality takes away that they are still piggy backing off the same set up wth the antagonist and supporting cast all recycled. My point again is the hate towards him isn't what should ruin the series for you especially since you have seen every UC series and alternate timelines. As for Seed thats a whole different issue that everyone has the right to rant about

00 is my favorite gundam show, maybe because i like the dose of mystery in it and straight 3 not alike fractions reasable fractions of today having there own problems againts eachother , also with 4th one going againts everyone. Because of that like S1 more, S2 without that war and switching to standard 2 side war (totalitarism vs freedom) felt like they are out of ideas and just run battle after battle . But this opening is my favorite from 00

hey man, i like what ever design that looks pretty dam cool. fell in love with exia, then realized his pilot is a garbage piece of trash human, that was sad. arios was ok until i realized it had at the least a million copies. Gundam 00 was well paced, well executed anime and lived up to the gundam name and made me forget about Gundam seed. It rightfully challenges Gundam WIng for best gundam of all time!

What's more, in real life, the fighter planes the gundams destroy so easily in the animes would probably just overwhelm any gundam in numbers. What's more, the control of a gundam should be much harder than a figher plane, given that you need to control a wider spectrum of factors like beam saber movements etc.
@nightxpmetal because it's utterly impractical to have a 21feet tall walking machine which is vulnerable to all sorts of precise firing equipment we have today. A single shot to the cockpit and the pilot is dead, and there goes a waste of probably 100billions of dollars of robot equipment.

no, the hardcore military ones will need at least 2 people. One gunner and one pilot, maybe one extra navigator for super long range operations. Interceptor types such as the GM series or high speed but high fuel usage Gaplants will however only require one pilot. Its iffy but if a series is actually badass enough to define these details by showing it instead of telling it - it would become simply fantastic and legendary. 00's not a great plot series lol, its just pure faceroll

if anyone still thinks mobile suits are impossible to make, then look at the harrier jump jets. Yea, thats the basic idea, a few flyby wires here and a few control modules there then slug a radar jammer (which actually exists, by the way, and used against lybia by the americans) onto it and add a little more fuel and this and that and then strap a bunch of tank penetrators and we're good to go. that's ur macross gundam right there.

@whiskers933 - The first 3 (spoilers, dont look if you havent seen it) episodes, we can see that he got TOLD OFF by one of the zeon superiors (like Angelo kicking his foot onto his chest xD). However, we can see where Banahger is coming from when he is confronted with greater issues (when Full Frontal discusses him about it). Though he did stooped a little too whiney in episode 4, which was disappointing... but only 2 more episodes left, so hopefully we will see him less whiney.

@maverickhunterdelta Its the same old though. Not that I don't enjoy it. Its really entertaining and fun to watch the new little differences in conflict. Though when it comes to original timeline its all the same setup(the only difference with Unicorn is that since it is in the same timeline they're accelerating the steps). Even Seed was just like a reboot. If not that type of protagonist set up it goes towards the terrorist type like Wing and 00 or something inbetween like 0080 etc...

For the record, Banagher isn't a terrorist dude (doesn't need to be), his main goal is just stopping the two main sides that have no resolution of peace since the original. Its 0096 timeline... that is almost over 100 years of war with no end.

If you watched all or most Gundam series you can see the patterns. Also didn't say he was a terrorist. If you reread you can see I said that if the protagonist isn't introduced like how the original did it, they tend to be already radicals or used to war. (well from their perspective its more of tales) Him being sheltered but haveing wierd childhood is more interesting then just him having the genes to be able to fight. Oh I already AM aware that "its the same old" trend. What I said was that for episode 4, why did they quickly changed Banagher's personality to a whiney little naive kid??? In the previous episodes, we get to see that he is learn bit by bit from what Angelo or even Mr. Daguza said to him. In episode 4, they pretty much reduced his character to naivete.

I like to think of the 4th episode that he just overloaded since he never truly understood what was happening. Also protagonist in Gundam series tend to change according who they are confronting or confronted by. Watch him go back to the way you like him. Also funny that first reply was argument and now agreeing.

@maverickhunterdelta Not excusing it. Just stating that its usually the the reason. The story is already created. The time is spent on the animation and fitting the story to the accolated time, you can look up the system through lots of past stories, series movies etc.
Also your taking his character way to personal. Even if inconsistant in what we see what you expect is also not realistic. Most younger generations wouldnt't stoop? Most would be broken by now.

And they did a half-assed work (or worse) when Shinn could have been developed into a fine young character and carried the series over his strong shoulders.

The reason why Banagher's character works during the first 3 episodes, was that unlike AMURO, Kamille, and JUDUA from the recent gundam UC lore, he was going to stop the war from here and now in this series. The UC is already realistic in its war themes. This is talking about proper characterization. He has forgotten what Mr. Daguza taught him previously. He was called a hypocrite again and again.

Banagher doesn't have to act all moping around and cry and hammering his voice towards Suberoa Zinnerman in his ship. That is not realistic, that is rushing and being lazy with his character. Episode 4 is still a disappointment. And casual fan would actually see the flaws with it.

Having a more repressed pass and unstable personality takes away that they are still piggy backing off the same set up wth the antagonist and supporting cast all recycled. My point again is the hate towards him isn't what should ruin the series for you especially since you have seen every UC series and alternate timelines. As for Seed thats a whole different issue that everyone has the right to rant about

by the way guys, we already have mobile suits, its just really impractical since our jet fighter technology is so much better and radar jaming could be done with a single unit of F series equipped with a jammer pack (americans...)
we also have top notch missile systems that macross rapes you with one or two missiles. Life is srsly hard fer robots in this day and age ~___~

00 is my favorite gundam show, maybe because i like the dose of mystery in it and straight 3 not alike fractions reasable fractions of today having there own problems againts eachother , also with 4th one going againts everyone. Because of that like S1 more, S2 without that war and switching to standard 2 side war (totalitarism vs freedom) felt like they are out of ideas and just run battle after battle . But this opening is my favorite from 00

@kevinlei92 its call being a realist and a javelin missile cost 800,000 dollars so i think it will be way more then that if u check online Japan's new tank the type 10 cost 11.3 million dollars to build one so a gundam would be more than that and you say that the gundam will have ship mount weapons its possible but if you check the size of a ship mount gun it is very big so pretty much it would be a big tank and agian i doubt it will fly due to problems probably due to the design

What's more, in real life, the fighter planes the gundams destroy so easily in the animes would probably just overwhelm any gundam in numbers. What's more, the control of a gundam should be much harder than a figher plane, given that you need to control a wider spectrum of factors like beam saber movements etc.

@nightxpmetal because it's utterly impractical to have a 21feet tall walking machine which is vulnerable to all sorts of precise firing equipment we have today. A single shot to the cockpit and the pilot is dead, and there goes a waste of probably 100billions of dollars of robot equipment.

no, the hardcore military ones will need at least 2 people. One gunner and one pilot, maybe one extra navigator for super long range operations. Interceptor types such as the GM series or high speed but high fuel usage Gaplants will however only require one pilot. Its iffy but if a series is actually badass enough to define these details by showing it instead of telling it - it would become simply fantastic and legendary. 00's not a great plot series lol, its just pure faceroll
