Sorry to burst everybody's bubble. Lee is good at what he does but I met him back in '95 and he was just plain unkind. I'm a professional artist and when other artists and myself showed up after the con to hang out in the lobby Lee was there with other Marvel artists and literally asked people to leave because 'he didn't know them'. The other DC/Marvel artists there looked embarrassed. I used to really look up to him.... it was and still is a hurtful disappointment.

Interesting thought. I can believe it, but most people will probably not get close enough to Jim to experience something like that.

i totally understand the feeling of looking up to someone and only to have them bash your feelings with a stupid comment or a mean gesture. But, understand that Jim Lee and all other celebrities in any industry are human and get annoyed and have bad days just like the rest of us. I saw him at NYC comic con, he was really cool and funny. So, its hard to let go of those feeling but its best to look past it and focus on good things.

@MrArtist1971 I'm sorry for ur disappointment, I don't know Mr Lee & maybe he just kind of had a bad day that day, remember nobody is perfect, although I think Mr Lee's art is damn near it, lol. Some of these master artists might disappoint u in person, but I think it's best to keep in mind how their great skill inspires us all to be our best. & they go through a lot of pressure & demands to be the best, if u're in that position I'm sure u can relate to that.
