  • What kind of boost are You pushing?

  • @jonreinert1 It's a turbo.

  • i think your speeding...

  • What kind of wastegate are you running?

  • hey! those are 99-01 gauges

  • B.O.V baby!!!

  • 1:18, holycrap was that 4th?

  • nice.metallica

  • damn dude that sound is intoxicatiing, whats you opinion on turbo vs superchargers on mustangs? just wondering i have no expierience with turbocharged mustangs

  • Turbo kits sound better in my mind, compared too any supercharger. now for gains, I hear both are better than one another so... i supose that depends on certain idividual applications....

  • if you want more torque, go with the supercharger. but if you want more horsepower, the turbo is best for you

  • If you look at dyno graphs turbos actually make more peak TQ than superchargers, they just comes at later rpms. superchargers are instant TQ. turbos are more efficient in every way, no parasitic loss, unlimited boost, and no belt slip. but the install is more complex than throwing on a blower. just depends on ur wallet and what ur wanting to use it for.turbos = higher hp and tq but also a considerably higher cost.

  • @abrianL Turbochargers do not have unlimited boost. A turbocharger can only spin so fast. Don't spread false information. Also, a blower install is more complex then just throwing on a blower.

  • @djjoe9000 U read way too deep into that, and yes blower installs take work, but they are nothing compared to a turbo set up. I was simply saying that normally the limiting factor of a turbo is the amount of hp a motor can take, If all you took away from my comment was that turbos make unlimited boost u missed the point, i am simply saying hp and tq from a turbo at the same boost level as a blower will be higher. And turbos have a broader range of boost available, not unlimited, but more.

  • @abrianL I'm unsure what you mean by "range of boost."

  • Comment removed

  • @abrianL A turbocharger is not pushing the same amount of air at 5psi as it is at 30psi. Nor is it spinning at the same RPM, as the wastegate does not bleed off excess boost. It lets out exhaust prior to the exhaust going into the turbine.

  • @djjoe9000 Let me reword it,a turbo is fed by the same amount of exhaust weather set @ 5 or 30,but is bled off by the wastegate,& ur right a turbo is not spinning at the same rpm at different boost levels. When i said it bleeds off boost, I was refering to it bleeding off air that would spin the turbine, which is the direct cause of boost. I hope I worded this correctly for you, i'm still not sure what u find so wrong with my original post...thought i explained the "unlimited boost" thing already

  • @djjoe9000 And i'm not saying blowers suck, i have one on my car, and i love it, instant boost is a beautiful thing, but if the factory gave me the option of a turbo @ 12psi or a blower @12psi, I'm taking the turbo all day, and making higher numbers more efficiently. Blower = cheaper, easier install, instant boost, but also ='s parasitic loss and belt slip, and potential heat soak.Turbo= higher cost, higher hp & tq, no parasitic loss, complex install, more usable tq curve. Not false info, FACTS.

  • @biffnacid Turbo is better on anything.

  • @biffnacid turbochargers are for people who are looking to get the most out of their cobras. they require no power to run but require time to spool up whereas superchargers are instant power but require power to run since they are belt driven whereas the turbos are exhaust driven. you can easily get 1000hp out of a cobra with a turbo charger and although the sound is amazing, most dont see it as american muscle. a lot of people stick with superchargers out of tradition
