In an interview with IGN, senior creative manager Cory Ledesma made mention that the secret feature will "be able to support a bunch more options for the players that like to have the free rein, the multiple decisions to use created elements in that mode". In a later interview, Ledesma furthered on the mode mentioning it as a replacement of the General Manager (GM) mode seen in the previous three games. The new mode will offer some of the same features found in the GM mode.

THQ kept getting a lot of complaints in the past about outdated rosters and new superstars. In order to solve this, THQ stated that the game will provide downloadable content to keep the game as up to date as possible. They haven't revealed what type of content can be downloaded, or what systems it can be downloaded on. If THQ doesn't change the attires before the game is released, you may be able to download an update for them. I'm not sure if they will provide updated attires for download.

You can't climb the giant fist in this game because they no longer use the entrance with the giant fist. SmackDown uses a new HD set. It is an entirely different set than the one in SmackDown SYM.

The WWE does not want their Divas to bleed or be put in extreme matches that you would not normally find them in when watching WWE on TV. This is why they put this restriction into the game. THQ feels it is important to keep the authenticity of the WWE in tact.

Last year the games AI was a joke. Even on legend with all the bars turned up its too easy. I have a feeling this year it will be too hard if not near on impossible. Whats worse is the gameplay was so slow last year it was terrible. Plus the online lag whats that all about???

You don't have to worry about any of that. This year, AI, hit detection and animation have been worked on. A new semi-auto targeting system will be implemented into the game, which generally will automatically target a particular wrestler the player wants to attack, but can also be controlled by the player. The Wii version will now include online play as well as rankings. Voice chat functionality for the PS3 and Xbox 360 were confirmed. However, online play will not be available for the PS2.

well smackdown shut your mouth and smackdown here comes the pain were the best two so far but here comes the pain is the best in the series by far. you could do so much in that like you could throow weapons so it was easy to stack up tables and ladders and do high risk moves, the gameplay was fast, the ai was good, the roster was huge and very up to date at the time. to bad thq wont rerelease it just with a mor euptodate roster and online mode that would be awesome.
