@xMadSkillzx If you know the stage, Hu Lao Gate, it's the Allied forces of Wei, Shu, Wu and Yuan Shao's forces. This was directly after the Yellow Turban Rebellion, in which Wei, Shu, and Wu were actually formed.

everyone knew that Lu Bu was dangerous and thus why Cao Cao had him executed on the advice of Liu Bei. Think about it from Cao Cao's point of view. Lu Bu did murder Ding Yuan then went to serve Dong Zhuo. He then murdered Dong Zhuo and took the capital. Guo Si and Li Jue took the capital back and Lu Bu traveled the land and then attacked Cao Cao from behind during his campaign against Xuzhou. Lu Bu was powerful but just too damn dangerous. Even in EMpire mode, if i capture lu bu, i execute him.

In Dynasty Warriors 5, something impossiable happened. I had Lu Bu max lvl, as a one man defender, and he lost. He refused to serve the guy who won, and was excuted, and since Lu Bu isnt my best guy i just took the place back and placed a army there then conquered the guy who attacked lol.

The truth is, lu bu listen to his wife (his real wife, which was a bad move on his part.) This pissed off his men. So when went to sleep, his men tied him up and gave him up to Cao Cao. All of this which was zhan fei and Lei bei fault. Zhang fei stolen Lu bu horses and Lu Bu gotten pissed. Lei Bei tried to give them back, but after so many times of cover Lei Bei behind and letting Zhang Fei slide on things, Lu Bu finally said got pissed off and tried to kill him.

cao cao and liu bei werent that powerful at tht time... cao cao controlled the central plains, but liu bei had a small force albeit it had guan yu and zhang fei who everyone bums....

yuan shao was the most powerful at that time, and if cao cao had died he along with sun ce would have capitalised on this and lu bu would have ended up defeated anyway later.

If I'm not mistaken, the capture of a drunken Lu Bu was just a fictional aspect of the novel. He in fact surrendered due to the three month siege of Xia Pi and his numerous defeats at the hands of Cao Cao's army. But he still got executed so whatever.
