I actually like the Demo's battle theme better than the final version - that little bit of extra emphasis on the drums, especially those toms, makes it sound a bit more intense.

@TheBadShaman Just to clarify, I don't mind his occasional criticisms. I totally saw where he was coming from with his Zoda's Revenge review. But I like the game, and I happen to be the proud owner of both titles in the Startropics series.

I loved Final Fantasy 7, but I would have loved it just as much if not a little more in the classic SNES style (I would prefer sprites with pixels for mouths over anatomically inaccurate blobs with minimal texture and no mouths). It's sad the series never made it to the n64, but I can understand why when at the time a CD would have had many times the storage of a cartridge, and costs less to mass produce. There would be less textures, and those FMV scenes would likely have to be rendered in-game
I would also like to add, that the console games were Final Fantasy at its best. I haven't played XIV, but it saddened me inside when I saw a video of this armored man hitting an unarmored rat with a pike for 10 minutes, and it saddened me even more when the accusations of copying/pasting terrain came up, no re-texturing, no innovation, just skill-less copy and paste. My fiance showed me those saddening videos, and I showed her videos of summon spells such as "Knights of the Round".
@EliroX904 Its funny how there seems to be 2 brands of FF fans. The games u mentioned are the first one (the classic style) and the others are FF7 FF8 and FF10. Im of the latter.
I had FF7 (Don't know what happend to it) and I DID play a demo of it from Playstation Underground Vol. ?? (Don't know what number it is), In that demo you had a party of Cloud, Barret, and Tifa, Also you were armed to the teeth with Materia and Summons! Great demo.
well if you want to immerse your self in ps1 fighting games id recommend the classic Rival Schools or maybe give Star Gladiator a try. both made by capcom and you know how they love to spend money on fighting games :)

To the hell Final Fantasy VII. I completed and enjoyed this game, but man how much it's overrated gets me on my nerves.
On the other, I'd really like to try this oddity known as Saga Frontier I, someday. It allows much more liberty with its free scenario system. And you have the possibility to stick with your favorite protagonist, unlike some game where you gotta bear with a lot of emo crap, whether you like it or not.
For a possible game, PLEASE review Marathon and/or it's sequels by Bungie. The second is on Xbox Arcade for 600 points(I think), the first one is free for iPad and all three are free for download on the Internet on a site called The Marathon Trilogy. it's very underrated and deserves a full video review.
I Got A FF7 Demo Disc At A Garage Sale, It Looked Like It Was Given Out By Square, It Wasn't The Tobal No.1 Demo, it Was In A Little Sleeve With The Boxart On It And Also A Bushudo Blade Demo. It's Basiclly The Same As This One But With A BB Demo, A Diffrent Menu At The Start, And Was A More Updated Version Of The Game.
Yo Derek, I bought an original copy of earth bound witht he box and players guide intact with the scratch and sniff stickers for $400 off ebay. Something like this may have never happened with out watching your videos. I'am still in shock I spent that but am a die hard fan of it now. As much as Resident Evil or Silent Hill franchises.

u forgot to mention the "Final Fantasy VIII Preview Disc" that came with some versions of FF7. While its not an actual demo it does include some of the CGI cutscenes from 8.

I always love VII most. Quite a few developers like to compile previews like Resident Evil. It's called preview piggybacking. Dragon Quest VIII came with the demo of FFXII and Unlimited Saga had FFX.

Speaking of Squaresoft demo disks on PS1 games, the PAL version of Final Fantasy VI came with the demo for Final Fantasy X, seeing that the FF VI port was released later in the PS1's life-cycle :P
I'm one of those eight people. But I watched my brother play the hell out of that game when I was a kid so there are no surprises for me. Also, he says I should skip to FF VIII.
I assume the demo was a mixture of everything the game had to offer and put it into the beginning scene... with magic, summons and aeries of course... only makes sense the demo would be so much different form the final game...

@Bastiest I didn't care for FF 4, 5, or 6. Games weren't bad just didn't do it for me. Maybe its a nostalgic thing since this was the very first FF I ever played. But people are entitled to their opinions.

I never cared for Final Fantasy VII, then again I never really cared for RPG's to begin with. ;p Although, Chrono Trigger is probably the most enjoyable RPG I've ever played...The 8 hours i put into it before calling it quits do to gradually getting sick and tired of the turn based Combat system.
As awesome as Chrono Trigger is, i wish the battles were in the style of a 2D Zelda game, like ALTTP, Minish Cap and LA. Turn based combat just doesn't float my mega boat. ;p

Yo Derek, I bought an original copy of earth bound witht he box and players guide intact with the scratch and sniff stickers for $400 off ebay. Something like this may have never happened with out watching your videos. I'am still in shock I spent that but am a die hard fan of it now. As much as Resident Evil or Silent Hill franchises.

I could be mistaken, but according the website Lost Levels "Final Fantasy 64" was not intended for the N64. You can find the full story on their site by Googling "Final Fantasy 64".

u forgot to mention the "Final Fantasy VIII Preview Disc" that came with some versions of FF7. While its not an actual demo it does include some of the CGI cutscenes from 8.

I always love VII most. Quite a few developers like to compile previews like Resident Evil. It's called preview piggybacking. Dragon Quest VIII came with the demo of FFXII and Unlimited Saga had FFX.
How many know FFVII demo from Tobal No. 1?, since it flopped in the US and No.2 remained unreleased.

Speaking of Squaresoft demo disks on PS1 games, the PAL version of Final Fantasy VI came with the demo for Final Fantasy X, seeing that the FF VI port was released later in the PS1's life-cycle :P

I assume the demo was a mixture of everything the game had to offer and put it into the beginning scene... with magic, summons and aeries of course... only makes sense the demo would be so much different form the final game...

@Bastiest I didn't care for FF 4, 5, or 6. Games weren't bad just didn't do it for me. Maybe its a nostalgic thing since this was the very first FF I ever played. But people are entitled to their opinions.

But when I start to arque about something is what I expect out of the most of the morons is a reasonable argument which I don't most of the times get. I never cared for Final Fantasy VII, then again I never really cared for RPG's to begin with. ;p Although, Chrono Trigger is probably the most enjoyable RPG I've ever played...The 8 hours i put into it before calling it quits do to gradually getting sick and tired of the turn based Combat system.
As awesome as Chrono Trigger is, i wish the battles were in the style of a 2D Zelda game, like ALTTP, Minish Cap and LA. Turn based combat just doesn't float my mega boat. ;p
