As stated, many female singers of some notoriety have covered Greensleeves. It's not at all uncommon in Celtic and English folk music for women to sing songs that would be thought to be for male singers. One of the most common is " Green Grow the Rashes/Rushes ". Very hard to find a good version by a male, but great versions by females are very common.
