Driver comments: came in a bit too hot and turned in a beat too soon; many untested new variables, including Toyo Proxes shaved to 3/32 + driver error in pushing too hard too soon before Proxes were hot enough to really grip the track; R2 RX-7 will be back.

@wixtrall The toyo proxes were going through their first heat cycle. Either not enough heat in them, or they were shaved too far down before track day.

@wixtrall Seconds later a race spec $500k NSX went into the wall a little further down the track. They kept announcing for everyone to slow down and take it easy in the early morning session.

i know go pros are for extreme sports and crap like that, but I honestly hate how people just rave about them being awesome video camera because they shoot in "HD". It's just a stupid selling point. It's not true HD, I mean the image is being taken into the camera through the whole the size of a pencil tip. How much information can you possibly fit through that. No depth of field, no focusing, they are just annoying. But for this type of thing. They work well.

@TheRealrocker74 I'm glad my GH2 wasn't in the car. I'm sure it would have flown, broke the lens and the body. I do plan on mounting the GH2 on the car when its race ready. Probably even with an anamorphic lens.

@TheRealrocker74 The reason everyone raves about them is they are damn near bomb proof. I don't want to be strapping 800+ of camera equipment to the outside or even inside my race car. If the GoPro's case or outer lens gets scratched, no big deal and $40 later it's like new. Not to mention the mounting options GoPro offers make it easy to attach it to your toy.
