I will always keep this video to remember the memories of everything. My 34 years will always be something that I will never forget. It was the best time of my life!!! I miss everyone and all the memories terribly....My best to whom I was fortunate to fly with and those that are still working representing the great DELTA that I know and love...
I consider you one of the people that I was fortunate to have known and flown with during the good old days. You were certainly played a part in making Delta a great place to work and have a special place in my fond memories.
Adiemus was most widely heard in the US as the background music to a Delta Airlines commercial, which uses the song "Adiemus" from Songs of Sanctuary; the commercial was widely seen in Europe before being aired in the US. There are no lyrics, per se, the text is "an invented language".
So sad that so many great airlines are gone Pan Am, TWA, Northwest, Aloha, ATA, Eastern. So many great Airplanes L1011, 727-100/200, 737-100/200/300, 717, DC-10 and on. So many great people gone the airlines are now full of bad people that only care about saving there own ass's.
very many thanks for posting delta's most epic in the airline world i hope to acheive my dream of working for them that would be the sh*t but that days far from here so for the time being i shall watch this video
Thanks very much. AAL is another great airline. Good luck to both DAL and AAL over the comming months. It looks like the economy is going to present yet another challenge.
WOW!!! Thanks for allowing the world to be able to see this history. WE WERE ARE and will ALWAYS be the BEST airline in the world. Retired after 25 years
Nice presentation! Sure would like to know what the words to this song are...thought that back when the commercial was running on TV too. Thanks for making and posting this. : )
Thanks for you nice comments about my video. To answer your question, each Adiemus album is a collection of song-length pieces featuring harmonized vocal melody against an orchestral background. There are no lyrics as such: instead the vocalists sing syllables and 'words' invented by series of albums by British composer Karl Jenkins.

I have no idea why the 717 is in that list, almost every one ever built is still flying, over half of them with AirTran

Thank you for sharing. This is a job well done. It is nice to look back on a great company's history. I was there from 1963 to 2001.

Great vid! One thing on the Airbus/MD page...it's McDonnell not Donald....on a side note the MD-90's are sweet!

Ahhh...thanks for the explanation! I had heard about 'syllablist' but did not realize that was what I was listening to. : ) Enjoy your retirement.
