yeh, i looked into it.... the mkiv's don't have a big weight difference... but the mkiii's on the other hand.... that's another story... my 89 targa was a good 3,800 lbs... where my 87 hardtop was about 3,300 lbs

targa = 3,700-3,800 lbs
hardtop = 3,500 ish lbs
i've owned a targa and hartop supra... you'd be surprised the difference it makes
Where are you getting your information from? There is only a 60 lb weight difference between the targa and the hardtop.
