Stever hits the nail on the head when he notes that the congressional budget office will not do a markup oh HR676, single payer. Why, because it would be devastating to the cause and to the credibility of the insurance industry.

Sadly Obama has, for now, been taken in by the insurance industry to the extent that he's no longer for single payer (check the video here on YouTube, he used to be a strong advocate for SP.)

Single payer actually covers everyone and cuts costs! It can work well!
