Government is not the answer. The problem with the green party is the problem with most political parties today, they are infected with Marxist ideology, and class warfare neo-gnostic dualism the Green party, as do most the other parties, the problem is the principle of using the government to "provide"...instead of "promote," whats the difference...one is tyrannical and takes power away from people, the other empowers people.

He means that he was in the Marine Corps at a previous time. Now he is not in the Marine Corps. He is a candidate for Governor of NYState. I don't think that an active duty Service Member can be a candidate. The writers and signers of the US constitution wanted the Military to be under the direction of the Civil Society. As a candidate for Governor he must not be an active Armed Service member.
