  • Commodore was superior to the Amstrad , Scrolling was poor , Sound chip poor, The majority of games on the Amstrad were lacking in comparison to c64, there are a few better games, but you have to look very Hard ! There are lots of good games for it, just c64 always topped it for entertainment, playability and the finished product was Always top notch and had more features.

  • A lot of people talking about abilities of Amstrad that's really better than abilities of Commodore 64. Maybe it's true, I still have no opinion (but I'm hunting for Amstrad CPC so I'll be able to compare). Looking on that example of Run The Gauntlet: is there not possible to make smooth scrolling on Amstrad in that case or maybe it's just programmer fault?

  • i remember it being fater on the amstrad, used to really enjoy it

  • anyone have any hints / tips to play this game better ???

  • got this for my 11th birthday in 88 played it to death. fantastic

  • i hated the waggle the stick hill challenge real pain in the ass... very tough to win this game the controls can be difficult especially on water events. fireworks halting your progress drives u mad but its alot of fun has variety and lots of challenges cool and very colourful looking GFX sound could have been better.... loved playing this back in the day :)

  • this was one of my fav multiplayer games, and now i see i never played it as a single player :)

  • your joking right ???

would love to be able to play cpc games like this over net would be sooooo coool :)

  • Over net? I meant sitting side by side with a friend, one using wasd and the other using cursors. Don't even know if the Amstrad was capable of being connected via cable or something, was it??

  • not sure ????

but sure would be cool if u could play games like this online :)
