Re. the tech aspect, I spent time getting the right sizes of cardboard boxes to set the camera on. My camera allows the screen to be reversed I could assess what others would see. I used a jvc model #GR-D27OU and it utilizes a mini digital tape. This stuff is less irritating if you have a helper!
