Hey driftingSOCIAL, It all depends on if the damaged wheel bearing is in the rear. If it's a front wheel bearing, you can still jack up the car and spin the wheel and use the screwdriver trick, you still might be able to hear it, just compare it to the other side. Also, in most cases, the side with the damaged wheel bearing will spin a lot longer than a good wheel bearing because a damaged wheel bearing is no longer tight. Hope this helps.
