Sniper bots aren't imbalanced, the Aeon ones have to stop to shoot and they die really easily, they're just HORRIBLE to set up a defence against, PD is useless if your opponent has plenty of 'em. Also: No unit can shoot through hills
Can someone please inform me what the Absolver does? Because it sure as hell wasn't made clear by the video. The rest was crystal, but the disrupter seemed to be another shield, if it wasn't those units firing at the shield, and if is the case then they didn't do a very impressive job.
Yeah sorry about that one, this was the first time I tried using the absolver and I just wanted some quick footage. IIRC the Absolver was T3 in the beta so I made a groupd of them shoot at a T3 shield gen. And they sucked.
I think they're T2 now (I don't play aeon all that much) and don't cost much at all.
They do a decent amount of damage to shields but I've never found them all that effective due to them being hopeless against all else. I think their main use comes from their range. Anyone else wanna clear this one up?
I think I'm one of the few that actually does play Aeon. Have you ever seen a SupCom strategic posting board? It's farly evenly matched in how many Cybran and UEF topics there are, but only about 1/20 or 1/30 are ever about Aeon stratergy.
It's like they took the old CORE and ARM and based Cybran and UEF on them, and then they had to make another team to make it interresting, so they had to make new stuff up on the fly.
Aeon used to be super popular back when they were the best team in Vanilla but it's more even now and I don't know, I just think the cybran are really cool :D Aeon buildings all look the same and their units/faction commanders annoy me.
aww maaaan! this is so unfair.... i just got the 1st one too after so long and it doesnt even work on my retard of a computer coz my motherboard isnt compatible with my video card :(

I believe it's UI_debugaltclick in the console
It allows you to control any side you want by holding alt and clicking on them.

for some reason in my computer the UEF experimental Aircraft Carrier and the mobile factory are invisible. Any ideas??

I've just bought FA, so I'll be testing it in my own sandbox sessions.
If you want I can post my notes on the absolver to you. I think they boosted it since the beta, but I don't know.
*Note to self* Test against all types of shields. God knows that The Cybran, UEF and Aeon shields are different.
