michael jackson, i got to hand it to him, i mean he was good and also what he did to himself, nobody else could do and still be loved by the populus and the paparatzi so good job :D
When those garage-style doors opened around 2:53 and those guys came out you should have put in the sound it makes when a garage door opens on NES and a big muscley guy comes out and beats you up.
This hardly sounds like an 8 bit version; more like 16 bit. It has a very Super Nintendo sound to it. Most chiptunes don't use full chords as there were very few channels (sometimes as few as 2)and almost none of them were polyphonic (the ability to play multiple notes simultaneously for harmonies and chords). That's why when ever you hear chords and sometimes harmonies on old 8 bit consoles they're almost always arpeggiated (play one not at time)but done very quickly to sound more like a chord
the begin is great , later sucks...

I don't think this is either 16- or 8-bit. I think it's just the midi of Beat It thrown into GXSCC and then added and few soundbites on top.
BigKingEd 2 years ago 3
You nailed it haha First person to figure it out ;)
bangulo2012 2 years ago
I always turn-off sound channels, so that only 5 are playing at one time (or 7 for FDS).

beat it is actually in 'Michael jackson's moonwalker' for the sega genesis. I think that was 8 bit, my memory aint to good.

LMAO at 2:51
Anon1696 3 years ago 8
Excellent! =D
But the sound is too complex for 8bit, even for a dedicated processor. It's done with a MIDI program. =)
Very cool.

It's actually 16 bits.

shaunoftheundead 3 years ago 9
8 Bits is like the famous "NES" sound
16 is like the SNES or Megadrive and others.

lots of "channels" on this one; it sounds more 16-bit in my opinion.

estlib 3 years ago
It's a DDR NES pirate made from Hong Kong. It can only work on Nestopia and fwNES. It's unknown whether is the game works on VirtualNES.
Jtaylor1 3 years ago
It runs on VirtuaNES, but some songs don't have arrows, and a few don't even play at all.
VaderNES 3 years ago
Nevermind, the rom runs fine on VirtuaNES.
VaderNES 3 years ago
sound cool
MARKAGOT276 3 years ago
Killer.
Woulda been more entertaining without the Moonwalker voice samples though.
