Indeed, not only have the Churches tried to earn, but also to force their beliefs on others; ie. the Inquisitions, the Crusades...(Rev. 18:23, 24) All we can do is share; offer to shine the light. But if they don't want it, Jesus said to "shake the dust off your feet" and move on(Matthew 10:14) . Best with a "mild temper and deep respect"(1 Pet.3:15), lest we turn someone off.

Good scriptures, esp. Love. Re. the kingdom, some translations say it's "in your midst" or "among you" (Luke 17:20,21) Jesus was telling this to the Pharisees who were about to kill him. Was God's kingdom within these wicked men, or rather among them as Jesus, king of God's kingdom was in their midst. Why did Jesus pray "thy kingdom come to earth" if it's already within us? I-e-sous Lat. is Yeshua Heb. & means "Yahweh Is Salvation"

We are a microcosm of the energies of the universe. When you read: heavens, house, mansion, age, and many other terms, these are astrological terms.
Ask yourself, what do young-stars get when they do good on a test in school?

Oh, I finally get it about Metallica; The guitar instructional on my site. I'm not a fan but some of my students are. I found a song that's not objectionable to teach. Other than that I know little about the band. I can't study or judge the personal lives of every musician I cover.
But I do choose songs w/ no improper subject matter.
No more pot, but peace & peanut butter, yeah, good stuff.

It depends on what you mean by "tainted." Vaccines require the use of some "toxins" and virus. Smallpox which was once one of the deadliest diseases was eradicated from using a virus and researchers have discovered a way that can stop the growth of cancer cells by using a virus.
