@mozer30 No it isn't case in point look at the way the private airline of El-Al ran their security prior to 9.11 and other airlines who went to the same airport. Their cost was higher, but If you were concerned about terrorists that was your flight to take and nobody's rights were violated!

There isn't nearly this kind of drama at European airports- and Europeans have done just as much to piss off Muslim terrorists in particular (Dutch cartoons, French veil bans). If all these security measures are all that's standing between us and more terror, how come people are flying out of Amsterdam and Paris just fine without them?

Seriously though, I've been through Schlipol in Amsterdam where security is very tight and they manage to clear you in a minute. I used to box and always thought of going to the airport with my robe robe and a pair of trunks on carrying a shirt sweats and gloves in a gym bag. My friend and me talked about it, he was going to announce "In this corner weighing in at 255 pounds." and I would take off the robe and towel and just walk through just wearing trunks. The problem was the boxing shoes lace so high.

Too bad my Frequent Flyer Miles don't also cover Cancer Screenings, with all this radiation exposure every time I want to travel, I'll need frequent flyer cancer screenings to check for malignant lumps or unusual lymph activity.
I wonder if the Federal Govt will admit responsibility for all the premature deaths being caused by X-ray over-exposure?
They say it's about the same radiation exposure as a typical mammography or dental X-ray, somehow I'm still not at ease with anything the TSA claims.

@MrSealot Actually I would ask what people think of a product like a flight to another state, a flight in-state, and a flight out of the country would be considered as? If the person pays the pilot or company personally...when is it proper for the fed gov to step in? To be honest with you, the feds wouldn't have jurisdiction of the plane till it crossed over the state line anyways...you cannot combine the entire transaction as one sale because there are two very distinct parts of the sale.

@MrSealot So personally I don't think the fed government has the right to search passengers beforehand unless is it owned by the Feds, but to allow that definition we would have to enact strict and painful monetary policy to let the market correction happen and enact a strict free trade policy to boost exports and increase the speed of debt liquidation, we are digging deeper by artificial valuation of the economy through the policy of zero interest with the Fed...they are fucking up the recovery
