I finished this game once but i have never seen the mirage palace???? WTF. Could it mean that it depends what characters you choose in the beginning??

@jnoelpb87 yea I think if u choose Kevin, and Charlie for the first character, then your final area is the Mirage Palace

The Bishop would have made a far better choice for this dungeon, simply because of Turn Undead, and how it can instantly kill about 3/4 of the enemies here...though I doubt it would help at your level.

@JanusHoW I was playing for fun, not for strategy. I was also testing the recording function of the emulator at the same time.

This was my favourite part of Seiken Densetsu 3, the Palace of Darkness and the Glass Desert just weren't as cool as this place!

@BriAuron I agree as well. This story, setting, and villain felt more sinister and diabolically evil than the other two.

@Cjmaverick77 I loved the atmosphere, something just felt 'wrong' about the Mirage Palace. That & the fact that 'Ancient Dolphin' isn't heard anywhere else in the game makes this a very unique part of SD3. Damn, I wanna play again now!

@BriAuron Once again, I agree. The skulls, blood pools, and 'Ancient Dolphin' really set the 'death' emphasized tone perfectly for the (tragic) villain, the Masked Mage - a felled former holy man who sadly, succumbed to the evil of black magic.
