Is holy specc usable in pvp? I've looked at the talent tree and they get quite a few damage increases and faster casting time for holy spells..... i relly wanna know :) Please comment back

The true answer is: You can do some damage, but there are always classes which do more damage than you. Of cause you are not built to do dmg in the first case. You are a supporter / healer (exception will be a little bit the shadow specc). If you accept this you still can have some fun ;)

well 4.0 will greatly increase the def capability of clothies against rogues, for example one of the titan paths will reduce stun, sap, movement imparing duration by 50%, plus the talents countered with rogue buffs means that spriests can finally beat the living out of rogues!

ihave 70 lvl holy priest and without discipline buffs for dmg i can 2k critical in a normal server.i have 765 plus damage and 1785 plus healing.low lvl chars like the one you say with not good items who critical for 1 k dmg with buffs are normal to bad.and for the guy who said that he can crit 1600 with mage let him remember what class he is.

I like priests, but with a heal build of talents, I see that is impossible to do something "big". 1000 damage in crit isn't really impressive... You could help much more healing. A shaman or a mage can do a combo of 8k+ crit... A marksman hunter do 1000 damage per second (without crit)... So, I recomend you all to watch some real DPS videos of WOW.

Hey noob. Where did you buy your account? I sad "combo" of 8k, for example: Pyroblast+ Fireblast, Druid: Starfire+moonfire. Noob, this priest sucks, doesn't matter if pre-bc, 1000 dmg in a crit sucks. I do a 1100 dmg crit with my 49 druid, lol. I recommend again you to watch real DMG videos, so you'll have shame to say a 1000 crit. rocks. LOL. If a team depends of that priest to DPS, so, all dead. Go heal or get a good gear, discipline/shadow spec and make real dps movies. Noob.

You seem to miss the point of the movie as it demonstrates the holy spec's capability to pvp as well as its utility. If he was to become a full on healer he would be better off speccing disc because of mana managing capability. As far as the rogue or mage comment... I am just assuming you haven't been playing the game for longer than a month seeing as how rogue damage doesn't stack and how mages often provide more cc and bg nova support than actual nuking dps, which is only common in raids.

"smite" and "holy fire" are holy-dmg-magic so tell me how to do dmg with a disziplin cast .. there is no disziplin magic to do dmg with ... only manaburn - and that's why i tell you i am holy. - nevertheless - you are right, in these sequences i had more talent points in disziplin tree - but later i set more in the holy tree (without infusion etc) and made more dmg than here in this video

I've actually in the middle of creating a Holy Priest which consists of NO disc what so ever, so far (lvl 40) it's workin out REALLY well, as Surge of Light and other DPS based holy talents really add to the dmg, with a crit and getting surge of light I can deal an instant dmg of about 750 already, and if the instant smite from Surge of Light crits and gives me another Surge of Light, it's just constant instant cast smites, I got 4 in a row on a 39 warrior when I was lvl 38.
