  • Can u install a double trigger on the regular act NOT pro act?

  • @CrazyGC66 Any 98 will accept a double trigger, you do not need a Pro to upgrade.

  • If I have a 98 custom with a Cyclone Feed System installed, do you know of any mock magazines that would fit the marker with its upgrade?

  • @YourBuddyRabbit There are not many magazines left for the 98 but the Trinity Bullet Mag works and looks great.

  • Which tippmann would u suggest to a beginner ?

  • @Dhavens155tht1short The 98 is a killer gun for a beginner, but really, all Tippmanns are. Depending on your price range, I'd recommend an A5 or Phenom Mechanical. Email us your price range, and what you're looking for, and we'll come up w/ a package for you that'll be exactly what you're looking for! -Ethan

  • @smokingweedman100 sounds like you blower an o ring

  • Can you use add a stock on an ACT? Are special stocks needed because of the hole needed?

  • @kikaro11 Any Tippmann 98 stock will work with your Tippmann 98 ACT, the necessary holes are included in all Tippmann 98 stocks! :)

  • which gun is the best

  • @5anfo0os Out of the three in this video, I'd personally go for the Tippmann 98 Ultra Basic, and add a Cyclone Feed System - that would be only $20 more than the Custom Pro, and would be significantly better. If you don't want to upgrade it, then the Custom ACT is just fine - the Custom Pro's barrel and drop-forward aren't really that great, in my opinion - you can get much better parts for similar amounts of money -Ethan

  • i bought a double trigger from u guys and when i put it in i played fine and then now when i put a full tank of co2 it just sprays out and my bolt wont cock back on its own

  • @smokingweedman100 It doesn't sound like an issue related to the trigger - when you put in a full CO2 tank and manually cock the gun the first time, is there a leak?

  • Also, when should you lube your tippmann 98c? Like after each game, after every couple game. Please help

    Thanks

  • @UnrealGoalie A couple of drops on the front bolt o-ring and the hammer o-ring will be good for each day. A good cleaning and oiling of the marker should be done after every 3-4 long play days.

  • PLEASE HELP: What oil/lube should you buy for the tippmann 98c and what oil or lube should you use for your asa threads? Thanks

  • @UnrealGoalie You want to use paintball-specific oil. Do NOT use firearm oil, WD-40, etc - those will dry out your o-rings. We have Pathogen Oil on our website for just a few bucks, and it works perfectly on the Tippmann 98's -Ethan

  • @HustlePaintball Thank you, very informative.

  • @UnrealGoalie For asa it does matter, but for the gun overall any kind of gun oil will do

  • HELP!!! I accidentally bought an a-5 egrip (the one already in the handle with no selector switch) but I have a 98 custom. Is there a way I can take out the board and stuff in the tip and put that into my 98?

  • @Ldsguy01 Not without EXTENSIVE modification... best thing to do is return/exchange it!

Remember that you can also contact us at support@hustlepaintball(.)com with any questions or comments that you may have.

  • I just bought a 98 custom platinum act, and I took it apart, and the gas line fell out of the place its sits on inside the gun, I thought I fixed it, but now all that happens is whenever I put my tank in, it's spews air from inside the gun, I've tightened it multiple times, but it keeps doing the same thing..help me please?????

  • @Ledhead117 I have sent you a pm.

  • I applied the spring in my bolt correctly.... but my bolt refuses to be pulled back, i've been having firing problems lately as well.... and I don't know who to take it to for help as I'm worried I'm going to mess up my gun even more. Help would be much appreciated!

  • @XcookiesareguudxD I have sent you a PM.

  • Hi, I wanted to buy a new gun. Two guns caught my eye. (I'm just a beginner) The Spyder Xtra and the Tippmann 98 Custom. Which is better? From the stores near me they both cost almost as much. I won't really be going outdoor paintballing. So which is more durable, more accurate, etc.

  • @kwewashere They are both going to perform nearly identical. The 98 has a 2 year warranty whereas the Xtra has one. And the Tippmann 98 is far more reliable in my experience, it is just overall easier to work on so I would go with the 98. The only thing I would say the Xtra has over it is that it is a little lighter.

  • HELP!!!!!! I got a custom pro yesterday as my first paintball gun, and the front sight that you push isn't working like in the video so i cant ,load my hopper on correctly! what do i do? i looked at the video and took off and put on the front plate on correctly but its still doesnt work! did i tighten it too much?

  • @drummerJVB Most likely you did tighten it too much, just loosen the front most top receiver screw a little and it should be fine.

  • Is the iron sights plastic since there attached to the rail

  • @MAITZ95 The rear sight is plastic the front is metal.

  • Just wondering what on this gun is plastic

  • @MAITZ95 Very little is plastic: trigger, trigger guard, bottom grip, back plug and weaver/picatinny rail.

  • can it take Diablo Formula 13 Paintballs cause i need to get some and i just ordered it

  • @eee4476 Diablo should be just fine for the 98. Stay away from really brittle paint but other than that you will be fine.

  • @HustlePaintball ok thanks

  • is this gun the typical gun for arenas because i live near the best one in the world(look it up seriously) a place called Skirmish PA

  • @THISISCHUCKNORRIS1 Yes, this one of the most popular guns in paintball, and one of the most popular guns that fields use for their rental fleets.

  • @HustlePaintball thank you and have you heard of skirmish PA

  • paintball + chick = hot.......it is the only possible answer to that equation

  • isnt that pro act weird to hold while shooting and aiming down the sights??

  • @Chachisousa1090 For some people, I myself am not one for drop-forwards, but some people who have been playing with them from the start, prefer to play that way.

  • what 1:50 ish i have the platinum and i cant change anything when it comes to air lines any one know somthin i dont???? any help please

  • Is this gun okay to shoot lefty.

  • @MAITZ95 Should be perfectly fine to shoot with either hand.

  • @xTeamMGPx Thanks for the support. We do our best to help you out!

  • @xTeamMGPx Go with the Azodin Blitz then, it's going to be more similar to more higher-end Speedball markers.

  • @xTeamMGPx The markers you are comparing are very different in operation, feel, sound, look, and weight. They are both good entry level markers but they are very different. Depending on whether you are more into speedball (Blitz) or woodsball (98).

  • So what is the difference with the Pro? Like what does it come with?

  • @technodubstep The Pro comes with a drop forward, double trigger and a longer barrel.

  • Would you reccomend a semi or a ful auto marker?

  • @egger49 It is very much a matter of personal preference. How aggressive you play and how fast you need to fire will determine which is best for you.

  • can you have egrip and a response trigger at the same time????

  • @LucasPajgerTv No, you cannot. Just one or the other.

  • i just got this gun and its the best i love it

  • Tippmann 98, Azodin Blitz, or Azodin Kaos? Oh, and what is your opinion on Electric vs Mechanical paintball guns?

  • @ProVelocity My recommendation would be the 98 because Tippmann markers are stupidly reliable and have a fantastic 2 year manufacturer's warranty. Generally electronic markers are more efficient than mechanical markers.

  • 6:45 dam it that wasn't gentle!

  • Tippmann 98 or carver one?

  • @xxxmurgaxxx They both have the exact same internals and will be very similar in feel and performance. Other than the different body styles they are the same marker. The main difference between the two is that the Carver One will NOT accept the Cyclone feed system.

  • @ HustlePaintball spyder victor, spyder opus, spyder aggressor, or tippman 98 custom?

  • @Guitar4Life1997 98 custom

  • @Guitar4Life1997 98. It is the best marker for a number of reasons: Warranty, Consistency, Reliability, and all of the available upgrades make the 98 an obvious choice.

  • is the custom pro only semi

  • @DeadOnAccurate The 98 Custom Pro is semi auto but will accept the E-Grip upgrade.

  • @TacticalxWarfare no problem man. I'm gonna get a Tippmann A5 because Tippmann is a very durable and good brand I hope you enjoy and good luck on the field!!!

  • @TacticalxWarfare go with the 98 it's way better more customizable. Some friends have a gryphon it's alright but not that good so definitely go with the 98.

  • @MrGlockling Thanks im buying a tippmann 98 custom pro platinum

  • Tippmann 98 or Tippmann Gryphon

  • @TacticalxWarfare Just for the fact that the Gryphon is pretty much a Tippmann 98 but made with A LOT of plastic parts, I would go with the 98.

  • i already ordered my alpha black why am i watching this?

  • @COGgear1000 Because we're awesome?

  • @HustlePaintball i agree.

  • Yay! i bought the Custom 98 pro ACT on accident but im so glad because thats the best one!

  • tippmann 98 custom or spyder mr1 ???

  • @HustlePaintball why? just wondering becuse im going to get my first paintball marker ;)

  • @HubbaBubbaVj dont buy the A5 the 98 custom is 100x better because its alot more customizable, my friend has been playing paintball since i was born (im 14) and hes older, but he prefers the 98 Custom over any. Thats why i got it.

  • @mattchappy i have the 09c now :;)

  • @HustlePaintball which do you think would be a better buy the 98 custom pro or the A5???

  • @TommyTommyGospel A5, as it already has a cyclone feed on it!

  • I jus t bought my 98 custom and when i got it put of the package I cocked it pulled the trigger nd it won't cock again any ideas?

  • @SuperGusga Have you taken the marker apart at all?

  • @Iveratado yea it is a good starter gun if you have the budget I started off with a cheap brass eagle it was decent but nowhere as good as my a5 if you are going to use co2 most people would recommend an expansion kit that attaches to the hose

  • i am new to paintball, would this be a good first gun to get and whats the largest barrel size i can attach, i like to make it a man cannon (sniper rifle)

  • Would you recommend getting a rufus dawg center feed?

  • @TombstoneGhost If you're looking to put your hopper on the center of your marker, the Center Feed will take care of that for you..

  • im new to paintball guns so i want to know if the Tippmann 98 Custom is a good starter gun

  • @spiderweb33 The 98 Custom is an excellent gun for a starter.

  • @HustlePaintball which is a better beginner gun?

Im looking between the 98 custom or the tippmann a-5!

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO GET. I've only played paintball onced and loved it. so im looking for a good beginner gun

  • @DoNaVaNq I would recommend the A5 as it already has a cyclone feed on it. All Tippmann markers are great guns and will not let you down!

  • @DoNaVaNq There both really good markers for beginners with a price difference of about 50 pounds/dollars price isn't a big issue. There both the same brand and are both are probably the best customizable markers ever! There both really easy to clean and maintain! So really either one you get, your gunna have a great marker! The cyclone feed system doesn't come with the 98 but does with the a5. But with the 98 act does have anti chop technology! So really there practically the same marker! --ace

  • i have a the Ultra basic that i got over 3 years and i have never chopped paint. even the cheap stuff

  • what is the price and price difference of the Tippam 98 ACT custom and the Tippman 98 ACT custom Pro

  • @THESoloBeast Check out the Hustle Paintball website for more pricing info. If you need the link, I can PM you.

  • @HustlePaintball thanks for replying

  • I have a minor leak whare the air hose meets the gun. Is there anything to be concerned about? How do I tighten it

  • @bballerx41 Based on the version of the 98 that you have, you can check the o-rings and tighten down the hose. You could also call Tippmann and they'll help you out.

  • @HustlePaintball how do i tighten the hose?

  • @bballerx41 The most effective way to tighten the hose is with a wrench.

  • @CoverExtreme It's possible that you're missing the front sight spring, which is what holds the elbow assembly firmly in place.

  • Are Alpha Blacks waterproof?

  • @khailung11 The Alpha Blacks are water resistant: You could play in the rain but you couldn't go swimming with it.

  • can you put an 11 in. barrell on the ultra basic or act

  • @teamPoland19 Yes, as long as the barrel has the proper threading I don't see why there would be a problem.

  • im just starting to paintball but i'll be in some woodsball competitions and such, y store only sells the tippmann 98 platinum but with no attachments, if i need to order attachments online, how do i do that, and what are the necessary attachments. i dont need the greatest gun but i'd like to be able to kick some ass :P

  • @TheAnomies I would recommend checking out the Hustle Paintball website, where we've got a variety of upgrades you can check out for this marker. i can't link it to you in the comments, but you can PM us if you need help finding the site.

  • are people in illinois allowed to buy paintball guns? just wondering because i might buy one and i dont want it taken away

  • @tds139 I don't believe paintball guns are outlawed in any state in the U.S.

  • and what is better compressed air or CO2? I'm planning to buy a starter kit so;)

  • @jobburg We recommend HPA, and especially Guerrilla air!

  • what would you recommend to buy?

  • @jobburg Any of the markers are going to be great depending on your needs.

  • I really only dont fire that fast because I like to shoot accuately. would someone like me really need ACT

  • @LordofHorror91 If you're only firing one shot at a time, it shouldn't be a problem. If chopping becomes a problem in the future, you could upgrade a Cyclone Feed.

  • this chick soothes my mind like when bob ross paints

  • I have a question.

What's the difference between the 98 Custom ACT's rear bolt and the regular 98 Custom? The rear bolt wore down on my regular 98 Custom and it looks sooo much different than the ones advertised for the 98 Custom ACT.

I need to get a replacement and it's around $10 so I don't want to buy the wrong thing.

    What's the difference?

    Thanks.

  • @9TayldFox The ACT is a completely different bolt design and will not work in your non-ACT 98. The body halves are completely different. Check the schematic for your specific marker to find the correct Tippmann Part number.

  • @HustlePaintball

    Thanks!

  • could u put a response trigger on the 98 custom act?

  • @SmarrtAndrew Yes, you can.

  • @darrinkelly14 that really depends on how fast you are shooting. If you wanted to eliminate the prospect of breaking paint, I would recommend upgrading your marker by putting a cyclone feed on it.

  • if i find an old style expansion chamber where the epansion chamber goes where the grip is will it fit on my 98 custom act platinum

  • @camoboy1275 If you can find one, yes, it will fit

  • why cant you put a expansion chamber where the grip is on a 98 custom platinum series

  • @camoboy1275 Tippmann used to make an expansion chamber for the 98 but it has been discontinued.

  • If i but the Custom 98 Pro act , can i put any upgrade on it even if its not made by tippmann?

  • @CIB96 There are many upgrades that are not made by Tippmann but are designed for the 98. As long as it fits you can do many different things with the 98.

  • so i got the 98 custom act(the middle one) , can i put a double trigger on it?

  • @imfirinmahlazahs Yes you can. The Custom ACT can be upgraded with a double trigger just the same as the 98 Custom or the custom Pro Platinum series.

  • @HustlePaintball I play woods ball and I'm a novice, but I would like somthing a little more accurate that won't break the bank. any ideas?

  • @SloppySardine I would recommended upgrading to the Tippmann A5, it has a cyclone feed which will eliminate the aspect of chopping paint in your marker, which will in turn save you money and maintenance time. The A5 can also be upgraded in many different ways, so if you decide that you want to upgrade it there is always that possibility.

  • @HustlePaintball Thanks! I have the custom pro platinum series and even that can't seem to meet its target! I'll consider it!

  • @imfirinmahlazahs Yes, you can.

  • @darrinkelly14 Only if paintballs are not being fully loaded before the marker fires, this can happen by having an e-grip without a cyclone feed or electronic hopper, or by shooting faster in semi than your hopper can keep up with.

  • if i bought a double trigger could i install it onto one that dont have it ?

  • @AFatLemon Yes you can as long as you have the proper double trigger for the marker you want to upgrade.

  • Could i install anything on a alpha black that yu can put on this?

  • @MrBennyboo1997 Yes and No. While some upgrades that are made for the 98 will work with the Alpha Black (barrels specifically) other upgrades are specific to the model and you will need to ensure of a correct fit (E-Grip, etc.)

  • can you take off the rail to make it look like the previous model?

cuz im getting one in 7 days and i want to make sure

  • @DustDevil098 The top rail on the 98 platinum is very easily removed with 3 screws.

  • If I purchase the A.C.T. parts is there a way to fabricate a Project Salvo to accept the parts ie. drilling holes?

  • @bshaw1025 While we have never heard of anyone doing that, with the proper machining it could work. I wouldn’t recommend it and I would be prepared to purchase new receiver halves incase of a mistake. You also might want to consider a cyclone upgrade for your 98 if you are having problems chopping or breaking balls.

  • Comment removed

  • is it possible to take the internals and put them in this body or any other 98c body

  • @Ryan84316 You can swap the internals with other 98 guns that are also from the same time (ie - Platinum Series). Now, you can't take the ACT system and put into a non-ACT gun, but most of the other parts are interchangeable (like the powertube, rear bolt, etc.

  • @HustlePaintball

I own an alpha black so could i transfer the internals into the project salvo body

  • @Ryan84316 Yes. The internals are the same and can be swapped out.

  • can u get a BT4 with ACT?

  • @jigzaw047 Unfortunately BT does not make a version of their BT-4 with ACT, but it is Rip Clip Compatible which will nearly eliminate chopping

  • @HustlePaintball would u reckomend a 98 custom with ACT over a bt4 combat? i like the combat but dnt like the way i will have to have a big black thing (rip clip) hanging off my marker in order to reduce chopping, and i still want to be able to make an m4 out of it!

  • @jigzaw047 The 98 custom with ACT is a great place to start if you want to build an M4 out of your marker. The 98 ACT has a couple advantages over the BT-4 Combat, mainly the ACT feature but also the Tippmann 2 year warranty.

  • @HustlePaintball thanks alot, guys, subbed, if i have any more questions i will be sure to ask.

  • In my opinion the tippmann 98 is the AK-47 of paintball guns (reliable, durable, strong, cheap, heavy, popular, etc.) i love it

  • Does the 98c platinum work with macro line fittings? I didn't think it did, if there is a way, can you show or tell me?

  • @Afrostmes Tippmann definitely recommends that you use the braided hose. If you want to make it more tactical looking, you can always wrap the braided hose with tactical hose cover. It can definitely be done with macroline but it can be difficult and can restrict air flow, not to mention cause leakage issues. Tippmann highly recommends not changing this out because it has such a high margin for error.

  • can you add a double trigger to this gun??

  • @mixNDmatch89 The 98 will accept a double trigger. The Custom Pro comes with a double trigger factory installed.

  • Bought a Tippmann M98 Platinum ACT Custom today, cant wait to play with it. :)

  • Cock it once and the gun does the rest? I have to cock shoot cock shoot cock shoot. (etc.)

  • @TheRappersReview I have sent you a pm.

  • @TheRappersReview No, you only have to cock it once when you first get it. Assuming all goes well it should cock itself. I don't know how, but I have owned the gun and know this to be true. This is NOT like a shotgun.

  • I may get the Tippmann 98 Custom Pro ACT Platinum Series Marker or the SW-1 valken paintball gun. which one should i get thinking upgrade wise and thinking how much i can get out of the gun in a game?

  • @woundedxsoul The markers you are looking at are going to be very similar in on-field performance. The 98 will have more available upgrades and also has a 2 year warranty.

  • Slg's so much better....just wait till you go some more money

  • i cant wait till i get the this gun

  • do all of them have double trigger if not does it come with 1??

  • @rulesofprey77 Only the Custom Pro comes with a double trigger. But there are after market double trigger kits available for the other 98s also.

  • i dont no wich plug to take of to put the cyclone feed in

  • @ElectronicWorld101 I see that you checked out the video on "How to Install the CFS" did you get it figured out? Let us know, and if you need help give us a call at (877) 298-8188 between 7am - 7pm MST, Mon - Fri and we can help you out!

  • @ElectronicWorld101 You take any plug out id suggest the top one if your gonna buy a response tirgger

  • I just got my gun and was doing shit on the inside, I didn't break anything but my gun wont cock back now after shooting, what could the problem be?

    <
