@genx304 Not a bad idea, but there's no part in the manual that explains how the sequencer works from the Tyros 4. The one built in my GeneralMusic WK4 is so simple, i did not even needed a manual to understand how it worked :-). I hope i will meet someone who want to show me how it works :-D, Still, that does not stop me from trying to make the file i have compatible. there should be a convertor around somewhere, so the Tyros 4 can play it with the proper instruments.

Don't see too many GEM's out there. They were a fantastic keyboard. I personally loved the WK8 - I used to sell them in the music store where I worked. Shame they went bankrupt.

@musicmaniac1965 They are actually being investigated for tax fraud. Main reason they declared bankruptcy. I first saw the WS2 before I worked in a store. My dad currently still owns a WK2HD MIDI Arranger box and a Genesys MIDI arranger box as well. I have moved on to a Korg PA800 since then (Included a Roland VA3 & VA7, Yamaha PSR3000 as well in the middle)

right now i am at my parent's house, so when i am at home, i will check it out for you. but i know i use two instruments at the same time. if i'm not mistaken, its a bell sound, mixed with a sawtooth sound, but i will tell the proper names as soon as i'm home.

wow, the speccy :-) i had the commodore 64 (as a matter of fact, i still have it :-P) but outrun on the commodore never came close to the real outrun expirience. it took sega 10 years to give us the proper 100 % arcade perfect version (on the sega ages label on the sega saturn, see my saturn review :-P). i never expected you knew the old game :-) how was the spectrum's outrun conversion ? did it had forks in the road to choose your own route ?

yea, its just that when you hit the next level you had to load it which kinda killed the game a little... they also supplied a cassette tape of the music which you listened to as you played! if you get time take a listen to my version of this classic arcade track.... looks like thats a technics kn you're playing on

nope, it's not a technics, its a general music WK 4.

the commodore 64 version also had a cassette, or at least, the one that sold me the game provided one to me. but the c64 had no forks in the road, it just 5 different seperate loads from start to a certain finish. so it's cool to hear the speccy had the forks in the road :-)

thanks ! i even tried to match the instruments on the original song :-) that is not easy, as the sound quality of this keyboard was "to good" for this old type of pulse code modulation sounds, so after finetuning the sounds i got them to sound as close as i could.

i wish i could, but even with my new camera, it's hard to get the sound in stereo. as the mic of my new camera is on top of it, so i'd have to put the camera upside down, aiming the lens to the window, and the mic to the keyboard. but if you like, i can email you a mp3 version of it. if so, just send a PM with your email adress, and i will send it.

ik heb zowel de ps3 als xbox360 versie, en mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar de xbox versie, omdat de controller veel fijner is voor race spellen. toch is de ps3 versie wel erg goed gelukt ook.

ik vind dit het leukste deuntje om te spelen. dit omdat het geluids spoor dat ik live moet spelen best veel in gebruik is. bij "the magical sound shower" uit hetzelfde spel heb ik veel te veel pauzes er in zitten. maar ik vind dat wel een erg leuk en upbeat ritme hebben.

het is niet opgenomen met een cam, maar met een foto camera (de hp photosmart r707), en die heeft geen audio ingang, alleen een zielig microfoontje die te veel bassen opneemt (kan je horen in mijn beatles song waarmee ik meedrum via guitar hero world tour in de studio record mode)

ik denk er wel over om een camera te kopen, maar de meeste hebben zo'n ingang niet.

hello slapmyfunkybass, it's not a technics, but a general music wk 4 powerstation (that "powerstation" means it has the hard drive extension built in, and the karaoke module witch also can be connected to the tv trough rgb scart) it's quite old, but still an amazing instrument, and oh so easy to use when you are familliar with its menu structure :-) also i have a passion with outrun as you could see/hear :-)

yes, i did record it myself. and if you send me a private message with your email, then i will surely send you the mp3 versions of all the outrun songs. there are a few flaws in them as they were early versions, but i don't have a proper recording sound card annymore, so sofar i will have to do with my photo camera as i did this youtube clip.

i love all the songs from OutRun, but i love playing this one the most. to bad at the time i recorded this video, i was not in such good shape, as i make a few small errors at the ending of the song. the whole song has been recorded on the internal 16 track sequencer from my keyboard, and the main track has been set to manual, so that part is what i am playing. i hope you enjoy the song.
