Sorry to say, you don't need all that stuff for making the ginger ale. I have my own recipe that uses a lot less and probably packs a more of a kick. A hunk of ginger root diced, two stalks of lemongrass diced, a small bit of red chili pepper diced and sugar to taste, plop all that into a pot with enough water to cover and reduce till it's a syrup and strain out the hunks. Add the syrup to at lest 3 times the amount of water and enjoy.

I would not have expected bachelor chow to be sweet, but rather savory. Like a ton of MSG, some pulverized multivitamins, a protein all blended up and added to a grain, which is then baked into small pellets. Basically, all the micronutrients that one would need, just like it were dog chow or cat chow, or any other chow... something that you could eat all day for years and still not suffer from malnutrition...
