If any guitarists would like to learn this song, my tab just got published on Ultimate guitar. search "isis in fiction" and click on version 2. I've included pretty much everything you need to know
With Isis I always am waiting for this just mammoth explosion of sound. Sometimes they keep you waiting a while and sometimes they unleash it right in your fucking face!
It's great to be back on your channel and I thank you for another great song. By the way, how common is too common? I'm guessing Mogwai's "Emergency Trap" and Neurosis' "The Tide" are too common. What about Cult of Luna's not so "popular" songs like "Dim" or "Into the Beyond"?
True, most of Isis' discography is already posted up on youtube. I too have posted a song from Isis off there new album so I can understand where you are coming from. The first time people listen to the Post-Rock/Metal genre is usually starts with Isis.
ksciaa, i see what you're saying. isis is one of my favorites, but it makes sense you want stuff more uncommon. if you do put any other isis up, try Backlit, that's my favorite. a great atmosphere. Also, are you a baroness fan? I saw them in arizona last week and they are indescribably good
I was wondering why you didn't have any ISIS on here. I'd noticed that you have a lot of really good bands of a similar nature but sensed the absence of the band who arguably invented the post metal genre. If you haven't already, I highly suggest checking out their body of music. (some of which is heavily influenced by House of Leaves.)
The thing is, I have been listening to Isis for a long time now but there are two reasons why I haven't had any Isis vids until now.
The first being that, despite being the pioneers of an entire genre, Isis never really clicked for me. There'll be a few songs that I really like, like this song for instance. The second reason is that much of Isis' discography has been posted on YouTube already, and I would like to try put stuff up that isn't too common.
What are some more laid back post metal songs like this? Thanks for any info, I love this kind of music.

through fiction, we saw the birth.
our futures yet to come.

Hello KSCIAA,
It's great to be back on your channel and I thank you for another great song. By the way, how common is too common? I'm guessing Mogwai's "Emergency Trap" and Neurosis' "The Tide" are too common. What about Cult of Luna's not so "popular" songs like "Dim" or "Into the Beyond"?
TheCobra94 2 years ago
Generally, "popularity" isn't an issue with me when it comes to songs that I really, really like.
But if the song in question is one I don't like or am not familiar with at all, then most likely it'd be a no go as far as being a possible upload.

I've only heard a little bit of Baroness but from what I've listened to so far, I can safely say that I don't hate them. :)
