Infinite thanks and praise BobC. It's so awesome reading over all your comments, I wish I could have been alive during these guys'/the paisley's prominence. There's still the music though :)
Thank You BobC1965. I missed the Whistle Test set so this is most welcome. Now if you can just get Crashing Dream released on CD, I would be eternally grateful!!!!!!
Thanks for posting this great vid. I was too young to see them (couldn't get into the bar!) when they came. This helps a little knowing what they were like live.
It is good. I don't suppose anyone has a recording of 'You Are My Friend', which I think was the 1st time they appeared on TV. If anyone does, please get it on.
I just uploaded the Paisley Underground feature (including a full 6 minute live version of No Easy Way Down) and Depending On You from the same Whistle Test performance as this clip.
Great! There is a video of "This cant be today" out there somewhere, very Beatley if I remember..?? If I had to keep one recording, it would be EMERGENCY, no hesitation. Can you believe Matt did some of the DNA analysis on the OJ case? What a guitar slinger eh?
A wonderfull flashback to a time when anything americana was bad and liking bands like RP or Green on Red or Dream Syndicate meant that you got no girls...when alt.rock or alt.country was just a fragment of a dream of a better future...so much has changed and as Moss once sang "everybodys clever nowadays"...
Our buddy Russ turned us on to this, along with some Makers Mark and some "Broken Toe" home brew.
God bless him wherever he is.

Say, Sir, Detroit, from your rival Baltimore in crimiest city in America, I say Rain Parade was great but nobody puts David Gilmour in the corner!

Thanks for posting The Rain Parade. I taped this action myself all of those years ago but unfortunately lost it.
First time I've seen this clip for years.
