I like the fact that you've chosen to interview sufferers who are a little bit older. My anorexia began when I was 11, and lasted intermittently throughout my teens, but it only developed fully when I went to university at 17. I often feel inadequate and childish for suffering from a disorder that's perceived as a 'childhood' disease, and that's why it was somewhat comforting for me to see two girls my age who are going through the same thing.
I'm happy someone has made a documentary on the matters that is not myth and is useful, give me hope. Thank you and well done. I've seen a lot of misleading crappy videos and this isn't one.
I appreciate your comment. I was tired of seeing some videos where people take multiple photos of their thighs and then punctuate these images with misspelled and often incorrect facts.
I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with these wonderful girls, who were actually in a position to tell it like it is.
Great production! some startling facts I did not know prior to watching. Very sad what is going on with these ladies. I wish them and yourself all the best. Thank you for this interesting video.
Thank you for participating. It wouldn't have worked without your help. <3 Hopefully we can meet again under more casual and lighthearted circumstances. ;)
Do you use atypical antipsychotics because of their effect on brain chemistry itself, or because a lot of them cause weight gain?
I was once on Remeron, which made me feel like I was constantly starving. Consequently, I gained weight. After I went off of it, I heard that it was sometimes used for patients with EDs.
nice clip!! Would have been interesting if you went into more detail and made it longer, for example their daily routine, their life...

First girl sounds like she is STILL 8 years old. >_>

@brightbite The sound quality isn't the best. I had to rely on the built-in mic of a low-budget, school-provided camera.

Thanks for posting this docu! It is well done. The girls tell the true side of Ed. and how hard it is for so many. This inspires me. There is hope.

your a genious talented enriching person you have a great future ahead of you !
for anorexia i use SSRI and low dose atypical antipsychotics
for bulemia I have been trying SSRIs and off label topirimate
these are clinical cases
just trying olanzapine or quetiapine or mirtazepine is a silly idea and usually works for anorexia in most cases
eating disorders have as high as a risk as bipolar for suicide.
