Still I do agree with you , I this this is a brilliant sound from The Mage, wonderful. Thanks mate, xxx Seligor, a very Ancient Welsh Dragon. Oh yes and the Language that is used to write Bron Yr Aur is called Welsh lol. xxx

    :)

  • FUCKING AMAZING!

  • That looks about as peaceful and tranquil as I had always imagined.

  • What beautiful footage Bron-yr-Aur is where Page and Plant first bonded together. It seems that the idyllic setting encouraged their softer, acoustic side. I can see why.

  • just magic mate, tell me did you use overdubs? or is that just you playing in one go? I always wondered whether Page's version used dubs

  • Beautifully played and a lovely peaceful place in Wales

  • This is absolute amazing. You were at the very cottage, where Jimmy and the rest of the band wrote many songs? That's admirable. I'm stunned! Great playing, and amazing footage. I can't find the words for it...

    *****

  • magical... is that really you playing, it sounds exact!

  • Yes its me playing alright ...although as I credited at the end of the vid, the audio you hear, I recorded in my own studio.

Kinda just messing about in the video, the wind saw to any audio recording in situ.

THANKS TO YOU ALL WHO HAVE ENJOYED & TAKEN THE TIME TO SAY SO - JC

PS: Check out "The Levee Breakers" on myspace for more studio recreations of Zeppelin classics.

  • Sounds great...

  • @JCTheMage Ha. No; it isn't. I'll bet you can play it, but this is the Zeppelin version from Physical Graffiti.

  • @dontwatchlosttapes14 You're a dumbass. Don't accuse someone of something until you have your facts straight. This is NOT the original from Physical Graffiti. Though, props to JCTheMage for recording an excellent take on it. Just because you yourself cannot make the differentiation, doesn't mean the rest of the world cannot either.

  • @dontwatchlosttapes14 Dude compare the sounds as well as the slides he really did play it tuning is everything bro

  • @JCTheMage I song, of course, is classic and your performance is impeccable. I also like the way the video was shot, as if it were part of the film The Song Remains The Same.

  • A pilgrimage to Bron Yr Aur to play the composition is on my Top Ten Things To Do Before I Die" list. Not to be over the top but that must have been almost spiritual. Nice stuff.

  • GREAT JUST GREAT

  • that's amazing, I wish I could go there. Watching pictures and videos of all 4 of Led Zep makes me want to have been there with them, and wish that they could all go there together again, amazing playing but R.I.P Bonham

  • This has been one of my favorite musical pieces since I first heard it 23 years ago when I was 16, and I can even remember where I was when I first heard it... It just makes me smile and cry both whenever I hear it, and I've decided I want this played at my funeral. You sir did an AMAZING job, and to be there while playing it.. it just had to be surreal. BEAUTIFULLY done video as well as your playing. 10/10 stars.

  • @jconeon said it all...

  • Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful......... perfectly blended.

  • love this, always have..

  • I think I have watched this video over 50 times in just the past 3 days when I first found this. I thought this was an old clip of Page back in his younger longer hair days, then realized it was you. This is amazing! I want to cry when I hear this song. This is what music must sound like in heaven! I wish I had the tablature to this. Peace and God Bless you!!!

  • Excelente !, felicitaciones, muy lindo tema !

Excelent, congratulations, very nice theme !

  • Unspeakably beautiful, Mr. Curran! Thank you for posting this!

  • i read once in a guitar magazine that eddie van halen said that jimi page has nice studio work, but his live stuff sounds like a "two year old with a broken hand".... i've never purposely listened to anything by van halen since...

  • Thumbs up x999999999999

  • Playing Bron yr Aur at the cottage I like to think it added to your performance and had to have been a spiritual experience. Even John had to have been there with you. The absolute best rendition of the song I've ever heard.

  • jimmy used a 1971 Martin D-28 in open c tuning

  • outstanding stuff..
