Oh dear Sunshine, have you not realized yet that Bron Yr Aur is in Wales, you know that little country that England is joined to at the hip. Still I do agree with you , I this this is a brilliant sound from The Mage, wonderful. Thanks mate, xxx Seligor, a very Ancient Welsh Dragon. Oh yes and the Language that is used to write Bron Yr Aur is called Welsh lol. xxx
At first I wanted to call BS as it sounds too exact. But then looked at your other stuff that somewhat make this piece look like childs play. Amazing.
What beautiful footage Bron-yr-Aur is where Page and Plant first bonded together. It seems that the idyllic setting encouraged their softer, acoustic side. I can see why.
One of my favorite Led Zep Tunes, You can almost feel the presence of the band back in the day. you did a great job..absolutely Beautiful ...thank you for the memories.
really cool vid... i sometimes wonder how LZ found this place, with no internet and all...
can anyone tell me other music similar to that? the dreamy kinda thing, single guitar, lots of picking? i'm wondering, it sounds like some celtic stuff or such, i would like to listen to more music of this kind. anyone? thanks.
as a massive led zep fan, i can honestly say i cannot tell the difference between this and the studio version, jees man i even ridiculed my mate who linked me to this sayin the guy whos claimin this recording to be his is takin the piss
wow this is great for a Led Zeppelin fan. watching this inspired me to go out and buy my first guitar. an acoustic. a cort mr 730fx. i am sure it will be some time till I can play this song. thank you for posting this video. very well done.
Wow! Tomcardelli says you played it note for note-and HE would know cuz je has tabs published by page himself! You must be relieved that he has informed you of that.i know, I'm being am asshole!!! But what the he'll?! I could HEAR that it was (just about) note for noteand I haven't heard Jimmy playing it in years!
Phenomenal JC! I bet it was so surreal to be sitting there playing Bron Yr Aur at the cottage where Zeppelin spent so much time. Awesome work bro! Thanx for sharing!
c'mon folks this recording is much clearer @ 1:51 transition to the ritard than the original. That's where the dead giveaway that this is an exceptional cover shows itself for me. Well done JC
Beautifully done.I am a closet guitarist and I have been trying to perfect this song for a long time,I have a ways to go before matching your cover.Really nice.
This is absolute amazing. You were at the very cottage, where Jimmy and the rest of the band wrote many songs? That's admirable. I'm stunned! Great playing, and amazing footage. I can't find the words for it...
I give 5 stars just for the location of the video shoot. Another 5 for the performance. What did it feel like to sit and play there? Was that Bonham that knocked your hat off?
i cant smoke weed right now because iam randonmly drug tested.........but one glourios day when i can enjoy that magical herb again it will be while this song is playing in the background
I'm in love..been playing for 29 years...this is the song that got me innovating and experimenting...when I was 15 or so...changed my style forever. So effing beautiful and sexy
@dontwatchlosttapes14 You're a dumbass. Don't accuse someone of something until you have your facts straight. This is NOT the original from Physical Graffiti. Though, props to JCTheMage for recording an excellent take on it. Just because you yourself cannot make the differentiation, doesn't mean the rest of the world cannot either.
@JCTheMage I song, of course, is classic and your performance is impeccable. I also like the way the video was shot, as if it were part of the film The Song Remains The Same.
A pilgrimage to Bron Yr Aur to play the composition is on my Top Ten Things To Do Before I Die" list. Not to be over the top but that must have been almost spiritual. Nice stuff.
that's amazing, I wish I could go there. Watching pictures and videos of all 4 of Led Zep makes me want to have been there with them, and wish that they could all go there together again, amazing playing but R.I.P Bonham
This has been one of my favorite musical pieces since I first heard it 23 years ago when I was 16, and I can even remember where I was when I first heard it... It just makes me smile and cry both whenever I hear it, and I've decided I want this played at my funeral. You sir did an AMAZING job, and to be there while playing it.. it just had to be surreal. BEAUTIFULLY done video as well as your playing. 10/10 stars.
I think I have watched this video over 50 times in just the past 3 days when I first found this. I thought this was an old clip of Page back in his younger longer hair days, then realized it was you.
