  • That Toot Toot was the most Gawd Awful Piece of Cajun Zydeco Monkey Noise I ever heard in my life, and If I never hear it again it'll be too soon. When I heard it for the first time today, I almost went medieval on the poor old Mexican DJ who was playing it way too loud and often for his audience at the Alma Senior Center, God help us when DJs with defective sound systems don't appreciate that NOISE HURTS, LOUD NOISE HURTS EVEN MORE, and noise by definition is not music.

  • I can't find the original country music video to this.

  • Title: My toot toot, or Dont mess with my toot toot - fais pas ça

A persistent legend would assign this song to Fats Domino, what inaccurate. It was really written, lyrics and music, by a Creole black accordionist, Sidney Simien (artist's name Rockin' Sidney)

It was released in 1985 in English, while 2 versions coming out in Colombia in Spanish : mi cucu by La Onda Grupo Control and Sonora Dinamita - see here on Youtube. These versions explain moreover very clearly what is a toot toot !

  • @billybarrel Those spanish versions are made only to make it danceable and the words are kind of funny. I like most Cajun and Zydeco versions and also the spanish version of Steve Jordan that is incredibly good.

  • Since then, several artists have played this title. Fats Domino may have interpreted this song, I do not know

RockinSidney (Sometimes written incorrectly Sydney instead of Sidney. His clip My toot toot is shown on Youtube with this error) : April 9th, 1938 was born to Lebeau in Louisiana. Died to Lake Charles in Louisiana February 25th, 1998

PS. Sorry for my bad English, I am a French speaker of Belgium - Europa

  • billybarrel. u r right. i love both versions. but the spanish one obviously is clear in expresion

  • I love this song. It's so good, especially when it's played in the traditional Cajun way. It's supposed to be talking about his daughter. (a.k.a. "my toot toot") Really good song with really good quality. Great job.

  • I'm definitely playing this at my wedding.I love this song.

  • just a few comments out of 19,862 views? This is a good video.

  • This interpretation of "Don't mess with my toot toot" is the recording of a live performance on stage of a Belgian (Europe) country band, the "Kentucky Country Band".

    Their adress: kentuckycountryband be

  • Several years ago a radio station in Pittsburgh changed from a talk format to a rock music format. As a joke they played this song for 24 straight hours on their first day. After which (and I don't know why) they promised never to play it again. I have been searching for this song ever since and stumbled on it on Youtube. All I can say is THANKS.
