This is "like classic bruce" ? Duh. Yes, Darkness (1978) was classic. But that does't mean you can ignor grammar, in 2010, sir or 'mam. I saw a live show on that tour in 1978. He may have locked up his girlfriend in the broom closet the night of theshow on this video. That doesn't make it great video. Bruce loves his children, today. And, the love for his wife is palpable. The energy he puts into his band's performance is10x it has ever been before. Please find a video (even bootleg).
God, I love how raw his voice is on this. When his voice pops at the end of the lines and jumps an octave, it's like a pissed-off Buddy Holly come back to sing to us.
Look at this "mo fo'" singing and "burning" on the guitar with a "bad-ass" band playing with him. Never in the history of rock and roll has there been a artist like Bruce. No doubt that in "The Darkness Tour" the band hit their "stride".
not bruce's best haircut but maybe his best tour,i did'nt see it myself but dave marsh and others have glorified it and thanks to yt & great bruce fans we can enjoy it whenever we want.
Please tell me is this from the 8th July 1978 show in phoenix? because I think it is :D for all the fans that don't know what i'm talking about that is problably the show that they are going to release on DVD this year :D
Springsteen,Pink Floyd,The Beatles,The Rolling Stones, are the only rock bands that can make a saxophone belong in rock n roll!! n make it sound awesome w/ the music

Bruce is epic. I love this older footage of Bruce, too many newer concerts on youtube.

One of the purest versions of Badlands around, so raw so.... can't describe it.
Just no words for those 1978 concerts, those are legendary as hell!!!!
Too bad i'm only 16, but if I could have 1 wish in my whole life it would be to see a '78 concert of THE BOSS.

Today, of course, is Springsteen's b-day, and 30 years ago today, this song was on the Hot 100 on his exact b-day.
